Poured to a BrewDog stemmed glass.
A: The body is super hazy, having darkish yellow to orange hue. The head is half a finger thick showing little retention and no lacing.
S: The aroma is incredible. Centennial, Galaxy and Mosaic all together providing a resinous and citrusy touch to the beer with a very soft accent. Really soft. Tangerine, grapefruit, orange and piney tones.
T: The taste starts off with a grapefruit like flavour, going very deep intro citrus profiles of tangerine and orange. Right after, a small pineapple profile appears in between the resinous hints that starts to show off. Before the end, a banana like flavour is also present, showing off some wheat power.
M: This is the thing. Carbonation-wise, perfect. Body density is medium to high. No alcohol. Bitterness is not that strong nor would I want that. In a wheat beer, having some sweet base, I wouldn't want bitterness to have a very prominent and palate-destroying profile. It's also perfect.
O: I don't understand why wheat is not used much more on more styles. American Wheat Pale Ales are awesome. This beer is awesome. That's the way to go, right?

Bought this at the brewery a few months ago and finally got around to having this tonight. While not a fancy beer by any means, this was full-bodied and flavorful as it carried the best aspects of the breweries involved in it's creation. As dank as it was, this beer wasn't terribly strong and was quite easy to enjoy during these warm summer months!
Not a bad pour to this as the beer had a dark apricot hue to it with enough head to top it off. One thick ring of lacing was left around the top of my teku glass with a bit more sliding down the side of it as I worked my way through this. Tons of wheat, light citrus, and a bit of lemon in the understated nose with more of those to be found in the taste. Full and light, this resembled a Hefeweizen or similar wheat beer more than an IPA as the hops were quite soft and recessed. A grassy tone set the stage here with some mango and apricot here to give this fruit flavor and sweetness. Not terribly slick or carbonated, this went down smoothly even if the flavor profile was just a bit of an anomaly...
The amount of booze in here was spot-on as there was a slight warming feeling coming over me as I finished this off. Not a great or bad beer, this was clearly a collab as it seemed like a hybrid between the two brewers involved. Canned on 5/11 with "ON THE BLOCK" written above "IT STAYS NOT", this was an interesting beer that took a while to figure out. It was not a typical American IPA by any stretch but a true collab worth savoring once, for the intrigue factor alone.
