Appearance: Pours a completely hazy (no clarity), pale and light yellow-tan color with a strong, bright white head. SRM of 5-6. (4.25)
Aroma: Strong and hoppy aromas of orange for a second. Then followed with strong peach tea and stonefruites. Even some hints of red fruits and cranberries. Some creamy peach to finish. (4.25)
Flavor: Strong and aromatic hoppy flavors of peach tea upfront then there's some orange citronella candle followed by some warm red fruit. Finishes with more peach and tropical papaya. Sort of reminds me of peach tea and citronella candle. Slightly bitter on the finish. (4.00)
Feel: Medium-bodied. Moderate carbonation. The DDH gives it a hoppy, almost bitter bite, rather than creamy smooth. (4.00)
Compared to Equillibrium Astrophysics 5/22/22: Pours a lighter color. More peach tea and citronella. Less honeydew melon and citrus. More DDH and bitter. Less creamy and smooth. Winner: Equilibrium Astrophysics
Compared to Other Half DDH Stay Elevated 10/3/22: Pours a similar appearance, milder aromas. More oxidation. Less citrus. Winner: Stay Elevated
Overall: I really good NEIPA here. I get complex flavors among a peach backbone. The DDH hopping sure gives it a peach and tea note with some bitter citrus and papaya to follow. Sort of reminds me of a peach and citronella candle. As it warms the citrus fruit comes out more. The DDH sure has a hoppy and almost bitter note. Wonder if there's some hop burn here. May be, but it's not offputting like some. Still has a good mouthfeel and flavor, just slightly more bitter and less creamy. (Rating: 4.13) (Second review 3.78 and may be oxidized)
*As it warms more orange and bitter citrus flavor*

Poured from the can into a Spiegelau IPA glass. Canned August 6th 2024.
Pale lemon colored, and quite opaque looking for the body appearance. Creamy topped three finger head with a real whipped cream like peak and touches of pill like lacing.
Gangbusters hop aroma. Even from a distance off the pour it is large. Candy like notes of floral like rose and then a big dank push of earth and a hint of smoke. Hints of tropical fruit and mushy melon, with just a great bonanza of hop flavors to poke around in.
Palate sort of holds back. Light bodied even so at an abv above 5%, hinting nearly session like in mouthfeel but at least not wet. Hop angle is still present but less intricate flavors. Light more pine quality notes in the mid palate with not much of a juicy tinge. Finish and aftertaste is quite better, with some oily zesty citrus that seems to make a presence.
The brew seems like a great experience at first but then feels like a bit of a let down. Still it's certainly a passable and even tasty IPA, but isn't hitting grand status unfortunately that the nose hints at.

Thin half finger worth of lush fluffy Snow White colored froth... Solid retention... Color is a hazed lemony yellow... Assertive nose of pungent hops and tropical fruits... Palate was a bit of surprise... No tropical fruit or any sweetness to speak of, rather a lot of earthiness and dank hoppiness... Feel is medium to full bodied with a chalky and slightly dry finish... Decent and interesting but a step down from other Other Half offerings...

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy golden amber with a frothy off white head that settles to a firm layer and laces nicely.
S: Citrus zest, tropical and stone fruit, a little pine, a bit grassy, biscuity malt, and a touch of caramel sweetness.
T: Bright mix of tropical, citrus, and stone fruit, pink grapefruit, mango, pineapple, lemon, lime, peach, apricot, and a hint of papaya, a little pine, grassy slight earthy notes, biscuity malt, and a little caramel sweetness.
M: A touch on the lighter side of medium body, slightly prickly moderate carbonation, a little chewy.
O: This one just kept evolving, going back and forth between mango and grapefruit, with other fruits popping in to get their time in the spotlight. Nice light bright crusher. Nice summer beer.

On tap at Swillburger/The Playhouse in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a very hazy golden yellow color, with a small head, and lots of lacing.
This one smells like pineapple, marijuana, grassy hops, grapefruit rind, lemon, and lime.
This mostly tastes like every other Other Half IPA out there, but that does mean that it tastes good. It's got a spicy and pithy bitterness to it, with lots of juicy hop character - lemon, lime, grapefruit, pineapple, the works, you get it.
This is medium bodied, pretty creamy, and nicely drinkable.
This is somewhere mid level for OH IPAs - doesn't exceedingly stand out, but still pretty tasty.
