Double dry-hopped pale ale with our friends at Monkish with a base of almost 50% oats and showcasing Riwaka and Enigma hops. Dry-hopped with both before a second dry hopping of Enigma.

(2022 Taterversary release). A combo of a hop I really like (Riwaka) with a hop I hate (Enigma). That said, this was solid. Notes of raspberry, white wine,& sweet citrus. Good balance of earthy, pithy hop tones. A good pale, and a nice way to round out the set!

Cloudy pale yellow with two fingers of airy, off-white head with thick webbed lacing.

Strong melon, citrus and Playdoh in the nose.

The taste is similar, but more bready than Playdoh like. Lime, citrus pith and melon. (It may be psychosomatic, but it really did leave a potato-like impression for a moment, too — like the wet innards of a hash brown rather than the fried part. That faded though. I think it was more the doughy bread.)

Full bodied, creamy, light carbonation.

Very flavorful for this substyle of APA. Worth a try.

This was another beer that I missed out on getting directly as I made it to the brewery a bit after 6, only to find that the line was nearly wrapped around two blocks at that point. Excited to try this but the hype was just a bit too high as this beer was nice, but not overwhelmingly impressive in any particular aspect!

Canned on 7/5 with "TOTS" written below it, this held up well for being 2 1/2 months old. Dank and golden, this had plenty of head on it as it appeared just as I expected it to. Not a lot of lacing left behind as I worked my way through this and the aroma wasn't terribly strong or distinctive either. Full of grass and cabbage, it came across as another take on the Broccoli-themed beers that were released not too long before this. Oats and onion came in after that as a strong, orange cream flavor took over as this settled in and warmed up. Full and slick, there was some dankness underneath everything but never a strong hop presence as this went down oh-so-smoothly!

A light amount of booze here ensured that the odd range of flavors would have time to emerge, and somehow they ended up working together in the end. This was an American Pale Ale that broke the mold of what one could be, as it was appealing from start to finish. Melted cheese not included, of course!
