I held on to a couple of these and cracked them open for the winter classic! Not horrible after a few months... maybe better?

I love hockey and driving - just look at my username on here and what I do for a living (I drive a cab in New York). Of course, it was obvious that I loved the name of this beer but that's about where that ended. Sure, I think Other Half is the shiznit but they didn't get it right with this one. Given how many quality brews they've put out as of late, I can give them a pass on this!

At least the pour was on par with Other Half's other offerings - dank, apricot, and topped off with a wonderful head that took it's time to settle down. Good lacing left behind as the soapy suds coated an extensive area of the inside of my Teku glass without any rings visible. Tons of melon, tea, grapefruit pith, and pine in the odd nose with more of those in the taste. Quite herbal, this felt like an ESB or an IPA from across the pond due to the British-like floral hops that ended up winning out in the end. Somewhat thick and slick, this felt like honey without the sweetness and amber that might have been expected as an accompaniment.

Plenty of booze here but the carbonation was a bit less in intensity. Whether that was good or bad is debatable as the flavors could have been scrubbed a bit more between sips. With a date of 10/6 with "STREET JUICE" written below it, this wasn't a bad beer. It just didn't meet the lofty standards that Other Half has set, though aficionados will find it worthy to give this a go once, until the street sweeper passes through...

Canned 10/06/17 with "Street Juice" listed on the bottom; it pours murky gold/tan color with a 2 finger thick foamy off white head that was packed with bubbles, dissipating very slowly and leaving excellent camouflage lacing clinging to the glass.

Smells of grapefruit, piney hops, caramel, biscuit, honey and tropical fruit. Rather basic for an Other Half collab nose, not the hop bombs I've become accustomed to out of these IPA's and DIPA's. Had hints of toffee and mint as it warmed up.

Tastes is just like the nose with grapefruit, orange peel, piney hops, caramel, biscuit, honey, melon, earthy notes and tropical fruit. The honey, grapefruit and orange or clementine flavors are strongest, with tea leaf and mild spices joining as late additions. It almost has a buttery quality to the taste and is not the citrus attack associated with most Other Half IPA's. It's a tame DIPA, but it hides the ABV well.

Mouthfeel is creamy yet almost seems flat, with no carbonation and a thick feel like a cask ale. It's so thin it's almost watery feeling, but the thickness gives it enough presence to keep your attention. Almost no bitterness and a trailing sweetness that is fruity with caramel and wheat bread. I'd classify this as an English IPA more than an American DIPA.

Grabbed a small pour at the tasting room today. Looks like all the other iPad if not a tad lighter yellow. Nose is earthy hops...tadte follows suit. Nit bas but nithing special for other half who constantly kills it.
