Pours a fairly clear yellow with fine, soft foam.

Smell is crisp and malty with some rye and floral notes.

Taste is clean with a little bit of buttery note up front. Floral with mild bitterness. Very easy to pound back.

Muthfeel is medium, well carbonated.

Overall, a good, easy to drink lager.

Haven't reviewed a beer in ages since I was away for three weeks earlier this month but this was the brew that awaited me when I came home and sure enough, it was unlike anything that Other Half had ever released. I know, it's not an IPA so no one wanted this but I gave it a go because it was a change. Sure, it wasn't bad but it didn't blow my socks off either and with each of the 4 labels having a different color, I had to get a 4-pack for myself.

Golden and bright, this poured the way that one would expect a Munich Helles Lager to look. Blonde, slightly hazy, and with plenty of head, this was an Other Half beer in appearance...but that's where the similarities ended. Pilsener malt, grass, and straw filled the nose and taste as this came across as a beer that had higher ambitions than it's category would be typically known for. Lots of bread and basic malt to the taste with hints of grass, grain, and clove in the taste. Not as sour or light as I would have been led to believe, it was light without feeling too light and nicely balanced when it came to the body.

Of course, there wasn't much booze here as I could have finished off all 4 cans at once had I wanted to. Slightly skunked in taste, this had a canning date of 10/11 with "ALL SIX BOROUGHS' written underneath it. Sure, it's a beer to quaff when all the IPA is gone (is that really gonna happen?) and for me, this would fit that bill - though it's not the first can I'd ever reach for in my fridge...
