Tall can....11/2/17....so a few months in the can....but hey, its a porter
Dark and porterlike
Coffee and more coffee on the nose
Robust porter, mostly loaded with coffee, and bitter chocolate notes...densely flavorful and quite enjoyable....does Other Half ever make a bad beer?

Canned 11/02/17.
Pours coffee- like.. dark brown but very dark .. frothy tan head that bubbles down quickly.
Smells of roasty malt and coffee. Lingering hints of cocoa. Slightly bready.
More roasty malts and black coffee , with settling sweet chocolate. More settling breadiness, but a very tasty porter. Initially was feeling Baltic vibes, but it’s more complex than that.
Typical thin porter body, sticky, with a low effervescent carb. No complaints.

Traded for this beer as I was away in November and finally got around to it tonight. Loved the collab and the label as well as this *not* being an IPA like most of Other Half's releases. While not the strongest and tastiest example of this style that I've had, this was a serviceable American Porter that was true to form, easy to drink, and potent enough to warm me up during this amazingly long cold snap!
Good pour to this as the beer was dark, with a bubbly tan head that held it's own. Not a lot of lacing left behind as the spotted bubbles only remained on the side that the liquid slid down as I took my sips. Roasted malt, cocoa nibs and powder, and burnt brown sugar were in the nose but none of them were terribly potent. Booze came through in the taste but the mouthfeel could have been more thick and full. This almost felt like hopped-up coffee from a diner as the hops were tough to detect and the mouthfeel wasn't terribly thick. Slightly cloying, it felt like basic, dark bread with just a hint of peat tossed in for good measure. The end result was a beer that resembled a Scotch Ale without the sticky residue in the aftertaste.
At least the alcohol was spot-on as I felt a slight warming once I finished this off. Dated 11/2 on the bottom, this held up well over the last two months and could have been followed up with another serving. However, this was my only can as I was a bit perplexed by it. Had this had more heft, I would have loved it. As it was, this was a welcome change from Other Half's usual fare but left me with just a bit to be desired. Still worth a go as this was as unoffensive as a Porter could be!

This is far more of a black IPA than a porter - evan for an America Porter. I wouldn't drink this again unless I wanted a black IPA

Served in a snifter glass from the can.
Appearance: Has a cloudy brown body to it with medium bubbles creating a tan head rising just over a finger's length.
Smell: Coffee bean and malt scent which lingers pretty well into the nostrils.
Taste: Bitter coffee and malts, has a cocoa feel and it does come off a bit sweet.
Mouth: Sticky but not overly done. Has a toasted feel which made my think of Nutella over nutty wheat bread. Might be a slight exaggerated but you can see where I'm going when you first taste the brew.
Overall: Nice pick up, not the biggest porter fan but beautiful way to start the night. Salud!

16oz can. Pours a very dark brownish black with an inch of tan head. Good amount of lacing. Roasty aroma with some coffee, chocolate and earth. The taste is slightly smokey with roasted malts, dark chocolate, coffee and earth. Roasty finish. Medium body with lots of carbonation. Solid Porter all around.
