16.9oz bottle. Pours a pitch black color with 2 inches of frothy dark brown head. Some lacing. Smokey and rich aroma with lots of chocolate syrup, vanilla, espresso and earth. The first sip is boozey followed up by the vanilla and roasted malts. There wasn't much barrel in the nose but you definitely taste it. Dark cherries, earth, espresso. Cognac and charred wood finish with vanilla sweetness in the background. Heavy body with lots of alcohol heat. The vanilla is a nice addition to the Cognac barrel aged variant. Both are great but this one is slightly better.
