had this on tap at foam brewers ... wicked execution on this! predominate flavor is chocolate covered peppers, booze well hidden behind a velvety smooth mouthfeel, the spice is integrated really well. interesting beer!

Had on tap at the brewery
L -- Black body with a small brown head that dissipates quickly. Minimal retention or lacing
S -- Vanilla, cream, milk chocolate, coffee syrup, hazelnut, coconut
T -- Sweet maple, brown sugar, chocolate syrup, coffee syrup. So sweet it's like sugar syrup. Blech. No ancho character at all
F -- Cloying, thin for the ABV, and overly carbonated. Did I mention this is sweet?
O -- Not at all what I was expecting, and not at all enjoyable to drink unless you like literal sugar water. At least it smells good. The name is pretty damn ironic

From the special Buffalo release, thanks you again Brian. Not totally integrated coco and pepper, I like both. Bitter when drinking, sweet on the aftertaste.

Served in a snifter here at other half brewery.
Appearance: semi thing black to brown body with a tan head settling quick after one sip.
Smell: potent melasses. Heavy brown sugar scent which feels like melted caramel.
Taste: might be a bit overly sweet. Heavy caramel light coffee licorice feel.
Mouth: super sticky brew.
Overall: Good pickup, little sweet almost like a milk stout but did the job after lunch. Salud!

Dark, dark brown color. I took 2 minutes to settle my bill, so I missed the head, but there is some dark mocha tracings left on top.
Nose offers promise of almond milk dosed with a copious amount of chocolate syrup.
Thick, dense and sticky. Lip and finger stick to the glass level. Really hard to finish a half pour.
Ancho chili is very mild in presentation; there is a slight tingle. Lots of Hershey chocolate syrup. Very middle-of-road, "safe" representation of a chocolate-chili stout. What I mean is there ain't any smokiness, nuttiness, or fruitiness developed. Too sweet for my tastes.

Poured on tap at the brewery.
Pours a jet black color with a quarter finger of tan head. The head is gone instantly and leaves no lacing as it dissipates.
The aroma brings a surprising amount of caramel and brown sugar, followed by sweet milk chocolate. There's an incredibly subtle spice aroma on the back end.
The taste is a sweet, syrupy mess. Chocolate syrup drenched over hot peppers. The peppers are subtle and don't overpower the flavor, but that's probably because the peppers are being waterboarded by an oompa loompa at the chocolate factory. Not even remotely pleasant.
The feel is thick, sticky, and syrupy. Almost no carbonation with a faint alcohol burn.
Overall, this beer is weaksauce. It's sickly sweet and cloying like drinking Hershey's syrup straight from the bottle. The peppers are a welcomed addition but can't cut through the chocolate wall of death. Bad Decisions indeed.

Poured from a 16 oz can into a teku glass
L: Pours pitch black with a bit of tan head. As the beer warms up it leaves some stickiness around the glass.
S: Chocolate, caramel, brown sugar
T: Extremely sweet milk chocolate flavor. Tastes very much like syrup. I'm not noticing the peppers at all.
F: Light carbonation and a mouthfeel like syrup.
O: A decent, but very sweet stout that I could use more flavors from the pepper, or less syrupy taste overall.
