Fully opaque dull yellow to tan with a short but dense off-white head clinging in doily ridges.
Thick and frothy, spicy and herbal, it's pungent of overripe stonefruits while minimally cannabic with a really nice complexity, though swallowing paper dry.
Despite the collaborative effort, it's nothing like Monkish at all (which in this case is a good thing).

Had the Monkish take on this right before reviewing this beer and thankfully, I was able to get my hands on a can of this as well. Dated 2/21/18 on the bottom of the can with "MONK HALF" written below it, this was a beast of a beer that easily deserved it's lofty rating on here. It held up well over time and was so enjoyable that I regret not getting more of this when I had the chance to!
The pour to this was interesting with the liquid having a murky, orange blossom hue with a frothy head and quite a bit of lacing left behind. Can't say that I've ever had a beer that had this appearance but then again, it's not often that I get my hands on a can with two big-time brewers on the label! Once the foam settled down, it was time to give this a whiff as there were massive hints of the aforementioned orange blossom, jack fruit, nectarine, and prickly pear sticking out. Tropical notes, bright desert fruits, underlying dankness, and strong lychee entered the mix once I gave this a sip as it was so sweet, sticky, and full - all at the same time. Chewy oats and hints of bright wheat elevated this up a level as they balanced out the juicy and hoppy notes beautifully while hiding the alcohol at the same time. Sticky and syrupy, the mouthfeel was a lot to handle but fully capable of complementing everything else that was going on here.
Yes, this was a strong beer but the alcohol was on par with everything else that was going on here. I know this old when I cracked it open but it held up well and easily showcased the best aspects of both parties involved in it's creation. Tasty, enjoyable, and easy to quaff, this was a clear winner that showed that full potential of a New England IPA. Shame I wasn't able to get my hands on more of this!

L: pours thick dark orange hazy with a big head
S: huge citrus, tangerines and oranges jump out of the glass.
T: just like the nose, wow, this is straight juice. This don't taste like beer, haha. Amazing there is not even a hint of alcohol in this and it's 10%
F: super thick and ultra creamy. Not drying or bitter at all, awesome drinking ipa
O: amazing! Best ipa I've ever had

Poured from a 16 ounce can dated 2/21 so about three weeks old.
Pours a thick, dark orange almost light brown color. Completely opaque with a quickly dissolving white head. Smell is subtle, little bit of booze and a touch of pineapple. Taste is boozy with a bit of sweetness at the end. I'm not getting much bitterness at all and not getting much fruit either. Medium body that sticks around.
