Color's not my favorite shade of hazy orange. Smell is nice, with notes of tangerine and pine. Flavor is sweet and sticky, with pineapple, peach, and honey, and comes grinding to a dry, crisp halt. I would say it feels a bit under carbed, but by no means in a bad way. Just feels smoother and more crushable. Haven't had any other Hoof Hearted, so can't comment on if any of its characteristics are common to their style, but can confirm it's unique compared to standard Other Half beers, so could be a result of the collab. Good, interesting stuff.

Poured from a 16oz can into a tulip glass. Hazy blonde in color with a thick white head. Aroma is of modern fruity hops, mainly peach and pine. Flavor is heavy on the tropical fruits; pineapple and tangerine notes. Dry finish. Overall this is a good collaboration between two popular breweries. Well done 4.3/5

L - nice to see OH adopting HH's weird-ass art. Dark orange brown with a jello-like, oily head struggling to stay afloat, but collapsing in the center like a sagging roof.

S - strong oat aroma with coriander, oranges, and a side of spinach. Honey.

T - orange candy sweetness with a fluff type sugariness. Honey and cardamom. Toasted marshmallow and ripe peach. Sticky without being cloying. Oats on the very finish.

F - delicate balance between viscosity and carbonation. A hair under "full-bodied".

O - on the sweeter side of things without the undrinkable sugary characteristics. I love HH IPAs and it's great to see their outlandish juice mixed with OH's balancing zest.

Served in a 12oz snifter glass via growler from OH
Murky yellow in color and some nice grassy citrus on the nose. Grassiness is there in the taste as well as bitterness. Medium body and carbination

From a 32oz growler, filled 03/17/28. Served in an IPA glass.

Pours a cloudy, pale orange-gold with two-plus fingers of lush, bubble-pebbled, rocky head. Retention is so-so good, settling back into a thick cap with speckled lacing.

Nose is soft and doughy, peachy yeast with mild, sticky tropical fruit.

Taste is in line with the aroma; shortbread and peaches, orange, sticky mango, tart kiwi, composty cantaloupe and pineapple, and bhang water. Sticky-juicy and dank with mild but real bitterness.

Feel is juicy and medium-bodied with sharp, tingly carbonation.

Overall, a little over-the-top here with the juiciness and overripe fruit dials cranked hard over to the right. This Other Half / Hoof Hearted collab pushes the limits on what my tongue can legitimately process. A real palate wrecker.

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned of 03/17/18.
A: Pours a very hazy, orange amber color with a half inch, foamy, chiffon colored head, good retention, and solid lacing.
S: Aroma of mango, tangerine, and refined grains. Grassy.
T: Semisweet to sweet. Fruit flavors more on the pitted fruit, e.g. peach/nectarine, side, but light malt and grain flavors definitely outweigh those on the palate. Light bitterness really adds to the overall picture.
M: Medium bodied with solid carbonation. Creamy.
O: Yet another enjoyable, flavor forward NEDIPA from Other Half

snagged a can locally at one of them home d resellers, but the premium was about in line with instate shipping (if not less). nose is more left coast ipa...taste follows suit, but with that other half flavoring/bite while remaining on the syrupy side of the hop spectrum, but not full west coast...sort of in the middle. easy drinker and pretty nice...definitely a bit different for other half.

Damn, this is a good beer... Other Half IIPA collab with Hoof Hearted Brewing, featuring Vermont yeast, Golden Promise malt, oats, and Motueka, Mosaic, and El Dorado hops; 7.9% abv, 3/7/18 canning... Typical NEIPA action from Other Half... Pours a hazy washed out gold color under a full head of foam that trailed lace down the glass... Plenty of tropical and citrus fruit impressions, soft and over-ripe with juice... Orange, pineapple, and banana? Moderately sweet, mildly bitter; smooth and lush, amply carbonated, a classic fruit smoothie beer...
