Last Week, F$#@*D Around and Got a Triple DoubleLast Week, F$#@*D Around and Got a Triple Double
Notes: Brewed with our good friend Brandon Tolbert from The Answer. Last Week, F$#@*D Around and Got a Triple Double - Triple Dry Hopped Imperial India Pale Ale (8.0%) Pilsner malt, oats and wheat plus a punishing amount of Galaxy, Wai-iti, Mosaic and Vic Secret. Then we triple dry hopped this beer with more Mosaic and Galaxy.

L - love the name. Pours a soft, gentle haze like pineapple juice. Quickly dissipating head that leaves sticky lacing behind.

S - immediately upon cracking, I'm met with a huge blast of mango aroma, even from three feet away! It just doesn't quick. Getting a closer look, er, smell: bouquet of fresh fruit. Like, really fresh. Sweet orange drop candy, pineapple, cantaloupe creamsicle, and a hint of honey.

T - earthy, ripe pineapple. I haven't tasted genuine pineapple this long since New Park Spectrum. Nails that tropical flavor down to the vaguely acidic after bite. Lime zest and Ruby Red grapefruit peel. Incredible depth of flavor, everything feels full and well-rounded, just bursting with taste sensations. Lemon-lime creamsicle, a touch of vanilla, and berries. Minimal bitterness on the finish, but a lingering numbness accompanied by bread.

F - just as full and satisfying as the flavor. Satisfying is really a great way to put it. Velvet splendor with minimal carbonation and medium-well viscosity for its style. Nicely done.

O - can't get over how potent and pungent this is. I guess triple dry hopping will do that to ya. Powerful pineapple core with a beautifully balanced complement of fruit flavors. I've never had The Answer... that's going to change very soon.

The beer pours a murky yellow with a small white head that doesn’t last very long. It has low carbonation. The beer smells of white grapes, dark grapes, blueberries, pineapple, and melon. It tastes of white grapes, dark grapes, blueberries, pineapple, and melon. It is very soft and juicy, very crushable for the abv. This is a great offering from Other Half, I liked it better than last years Answer collaboration.

Tall can......3/8/18....this is a collaboration w/ The Answer brewery

The pour is super hazy..., loose and gauzy off white cap, leaves nice lookin' fine lacing

Sniff is pleasingly of ripe and dank pineapple

Delicious brew.....densely flavorful, loaded with ripe tropical goodness and earthy, minty and juicy hops...go get some

L - milky haze, slightly better head retention than most OH (or maybe it has something to do with me pouring out of a growler, while I usually get their cans?)

S - mango, pineapple, not very dank, a pancake-batter malt peeks through, hint of galaxy-esque grape-skin (though I forget if there's literally galaxy in here), medium plus pungency overall

T - medium plus sweetness, but really drinkable, intense fruit flavors follow the nose, almost none of the malt from the nose, medium bitterness on the finish (which is much less than you expect after the intensity of hop flavors earlier in the sip)

F - medium thickness and carbonation, little to no burn

O - I love that this has about as much hop presence as, say, their Anniversary beers, but with the ABV of their "normal" doubles. OH should make more beers like this.
