Somehow, this ended up getting lost in my backlog as I've been going through all of my cans in chronological order. Dated 3/06/18 with "STAY UP" written underneath it. Obviously, these are two big-time brewers involved here and although this was a tasty and enjoyable result of their collaboration, I expected just a bit more after seeing the ingredients that went into this...
Liked the pour to this as the liquid was a near-perfectly and silently radiant gold with just a bit of lightness around the edges. The head was plentiful and the lacing left behind was also quite extensive as the spider web-like lacing somehow separated into rings along the back of my pint glass. Loads of sticky, ripe mango in the nose along with some oats, and sweet nectar. The taste was quite full and lively with peach, overripe tropical fruits, dank hops, and deep pineapple as this had a good amount of color to it. Plenty of slickness and fruit cocktail rounded things out as this went down easily at first but needed to be taken in small doses because of how heavy-handed the fruit was.
There was enough booze in this to be felt as I warmed up quite a bit while enjoying this. The end of this beer wasn't quite like the beginning and yes, this was a good brew but I expected something worthy of a long wait around a Brooklyn block when I cracked this open. This fell just a bit short of that but the olive bread-like dryness and hint of salt combined with the lack of lively carbonation kept this from being truly great. Still a solid beer but this had the potential to be one of the all-time great IPA's with just a few tweaks and enhancements...

On tap, pours a fully hazed dark gold. Smell has white grapes, peaches, pine and a touch of diesely dank. Taste follows, an intense juice bomb with some resinous drying bitterness. Smooth medium feel. Fantastic.
