Canned on 4/11/18 with "GALDORADO" written underneath it, I had slightly higher hopes for this beer given how enjoyable the other dual hop offerings from Other Half were. There wasn't anything particularly wrong with this as much as there wasn't anything worth writing home about when it came to this brew. This was one of the rare times that something from these guys didn't leave much of an impression on me...
Quite a quiet pour to this as the peach liquid wasn't full of bubbles and didn't have a lot of head as well. Not a lot of lacing was seen as I worked my way through this, either. Lots of grass, dankness, and a bit of urine from the Galaxy in the nose as the El Dorado was felt in the recessed fruit presence underneath that. The taste was quite similar to the aroma but a bit more fruit and hops would have taken this up another level. As it was, this was just a bit too turbid and underwhelming but still an smooth sipper on a night where I was going through quite a bit in my backlog.
Thankfully, the alcohol was pretty hidden as it didn't interfere with the taste - or what I was able to taste. Yes, this was old but there wasn't anything at the bottom of the liquid nor were there any big particles floating in it once I let the beer settle. Worth a go once because I like the idea of a dual hop beer and the accompanying labels but otherwise, this would be a pass if it was brewed by anyone else...

Sample at Mikkeller Beer Celebration Copenhagen 2018, Green Session. Aroma is dank and fruity with a light medicinal note. Taste is fruity and juicy with sweet background. Dry finish with medium plus bitterness.

On tap at Tap and Mallet in Rochester, NY.
This one pours a super murky and hazy mustard yellow, with a small head and lots of lacing.
I get the classic passionfruit and grassy hop aromas from Galaxy, plus a lot of peach and melony goodness.
This also tastes great, with all of the same fruit flavors mentioned above, with the Galaxy components (passionfruit, mainly) leading the way. The peach and melon (from the El Dorado I presume?) are nice background components.
This is medium bodied, very creamy and rich, with a good level of carbonation.
I always enjoy these hop duo DIPAs from Other Half- it's always nice to see how some of these sexy hops can work well together.
