Just had the Feels like Outerspace right before this and like that beer, this was full of booze and felt like it throughout my review. Yeah, the collaboration was great as I enjoy what both of these guys make but this was a bit tough to swallow - in more than one way...
Canned on 4/19/18 with "FOURTWENTY" written underneath it, this didn't have a hop profile of a beer fitting of that nickname. Murky and turbid, the deep apricot hue had enough head topping it off and some splotchy lacing along the bottom half of my pint glass. Some fine sediment settled at the bottom of the liquid but like so many Other Half brews, this held up well over time and wasn't a drain pour after all of these months. Orange blossom dryness, white wine, and deep tropical fruits filled the nose and of course, there was plenty of booze to top everything off. The taste had even more as this warmed me up quickly and pulled no punches at the same time. Plenty of body here and a lack of hop burn were pluses although the overt guava and nectar sweetness were just a bit too much for my preference...
Need I say how strong this was? This was a slow sipper that I never really warmed up to, even as it fully warmed up. This was a bit of a letdown but if I needed something to keep me toasty on a winter's nice, I'd reach for this. Otherwise, it was only worth my time for the label and to have something concocted by two of The Empire State's better brewers.

Pours a dark, almost amber shade of orange, definitely on the darker end of the haze spectrum. Nose is fairly faint, but I do catch some Nelson coming through. Flavor is nice, with hints of ambiguous citrus and something resembling vanilla. A bit boozy/harsh at the end, and the flavor doesn't really stick around long enough to prepare you for it. At 10.5%, all things considered, it's relatively well-hidden, just wish it had more going on before hitting the wall. Mouthfeel is on point, per Other Half's usual. Not my favorite brew, but I'm not struggling to drink it either.

Poured a hazy yellowish color with a white head on top. The smell of the beer had a nice fruity pungent hop aroma on the nose. The taste of the beer follows the nose with some juicy fruit flavors with a solid bitterness in the finish. The feel is smooth. Overall I thought this was a very good collaboration brew.

Canned on 04/19/18, ‘FOURTWENTY’.
Pours a deep hazy orange. I knew before I even checked the label that this was gonna be a doozy. A huge, frothy Head of bubbly white lace that slowly sizzles away and leaves spots of lace all over the glass.
Big and boozy nose. Super sweet, tons of guava, tropical fruit, and citrus peel. Definitely smelling that ABV, and it lingers with a bit of bitterness.
Bitter hops actually hit first, booze next, and then the finish is a nice combination of sweet malts, citrus , and a light but present tropical fruit. Very tasty, lots of EQ inspiration.
Full bodied, medium carb, juicy and sticky. No ABV burn, it stays pretty hidden but the flavors and aroma are present.
