This was yet another dual hop beer from Other Half that I bought there and took a while to get around to. Can't ever say that I ever had anything (knowingly) with African Queen in it but it was much softer and exotic than the Mosaic and complemented it nicely.
Good pour to this as the liquid was a hazy blonde with a fair amount of light coming through it and a moderate head topping it off. Splotchy lacing could be found down much of the middle of my pint glass but actual rings never really emerged. Soft citrus, cream, exotic botanicals, cracked wheat, and hibiscus came through in the nose as the taste was just as pleasing, smooth, and varied. Nothing too strong stood out here as some white cheese and soft, earthy dankness rounded out the taste as this had a bright beginning and a much more turbid and dank back half to it. Not a lot of carbonation here as the range of flavors emerged once this fully warmed up...
Enough booze was in here and I could feel the warming effect well before I finished this off. Tough to pinpoint this one as it was equally familiar and unfamiliar to me at the same time. Regardless, I thought this was a winner and as smooth a sipper as one could find for something of this potency. For some reason, I really like these dual hop beers!

Despite other reviews and feedback on this brew, I found this brew to be extremely refreshing and smooth. It pours a massive foam head out f the can that builds quite nicely. Great haze appearance, well blended. Very smooth and crisp citrus and tropicals that carry over to the taste. No negative notes or off tastes, no sign of alcohol. This is a solid 4.5 in my book.
