Murky yellow with medium-sized, white head. Super fruity aroma ( just a mix of citrus and all kinds of tropical fruits). Moderate bitterness with sweet malt at the start.

No legend of Curly's gold to be found with this one but I'm glad that these two breweries got together to make a second version of this, as I enjoyed the first one immensely! The addition of the prickly pear gave this a unique feel that I've never really felt in any other beer, as I wish that more brewers would use it as an ingredient!
Canned on 7/03/18 with "CULLY'S TWIN" written underneath it, this held up well over the last year and a half. Some dark sediment could be seen in the hazy, deep golden hue that wasn't topped off with much of any head. Prickly pear sweetness, nectar, lemon zest, and southwestern lime could be felt in the faint nose as the taste had more of the prickly pear than anything else. Somewhat dry, floral, and chalky, the taste was great and felt very southwest as some cactus and fauna could be felt once this warmed up. A balanced body and subtly present carbonation allowed the flavors to show through but not overpower as this felt lively down to the last sip.
This had enough booze in it to be categorized properly although by no means did this feel like an American Imperial IPA, to me. Some aloe stickiness and sweet nectar lingered on the aftertaste once this went down but overall, this felt like a regional beer that I was fortunate enough to get my hands on. I still hold out hope that these two will get together again for a third collaboration!

L - 1-finger dense offwhite head atop a translucent peach body.
S - lemon, orange, herb.
T - unique. Spice-rubbed limes. Citrus, melon, pumpernickel bread, cactus, aloe. Low bitterness. Medium-low sweetness. Medium-low booziness.
F - medium body with slightly above average carb.
O - completely bizarre, but I quite enjoy it.

Warm, golden orange, with a thin white head that left a bit of lacing near the rim of the glass. Nose is pretty much straight IPA for me, not really noticing any of the prickly pear or lemon there. Both do come through in the flavor, however, if only slightly. the nopal adds something refreshing to the taste, and the lemon smooths out the finish. The 8.5% manages to slip under the radar rather well, and overall, is very light and drinkable. A nice beer for a warm afternoon.
