The beer and coffee are well balanced, both in mouthfeel and taste: the ale is fresh citrus and the coffee smooth. I seek out ale-coffee brews (not a fan of stout-coffee) and have had many in which the coffee was too acidic and the beer was too light or too sweet. Economic Realities for me is died-and-went-to-heaven good.

Different

 

Can: Poured a nice yellow color ale with a large white foamy head. Aroma of citrusy hops with floral coffee notes is intriguing. Taste is a mix of floral coffee notes with some citrusy notes and it works better than I had expected as a flavour combination. Body is about average with good carbonation. Interesting mic but not sure I would seek this on a regular basis.

 

 

 

This tastes like... well, an IPA with coffee in it. I like IPAs, and I like coffee, but do I like coffee IPAs? Does anyone? I can't say for sure, but I will say that if this were a thing people liked, this would probably be a good one. I get a solid 50/50 split of both IPA flavors/aromas and coffee flavors/aromas. Again, do I even want this? Still not sure, but the balance was achieved. The color is nice, looks like a hazy IPA but a bit murkier than usual (because, well, coffee). It's interesting. It doesn't taste bad. It tastes like a coffee IPA. And hey, if that's something you're looking for, this wouldn't be a bad beer to have in your glass.
