Decanted for a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a conical pint glass; canned on 07/12/2018 and purchased at the brewery yesterday.
A: Pours a hazy, golden color with a quarter inch white head, little retention, but solid rings of lacing.
S: Floral and fruity. Aromas of grapefruit, unripe peach, lime, grains, white pepper, and pine. ?Slightly funky.
T: Dry, dry, well maybe semidry. Flavors lean toward lime and grains. Bitterness well presented, causing a tight lip smacking finish.
M: Medium bodied. Solidly persistent effervescence although not quite what I would expect from a Kölsch. Creamy on the palate and fuller bodied than I would expect of this style.
O: Not entirely typical of the style, e.g. hazy, fruits not as expected, etc., but taking it as more than a touch "flavor forward." Certainly, very drinkable and enjoyable. Prost!
