Decanted from a 16.9 oz (500 ml) bottle into a custom Sam Adams glass; no production information but purchased at the brewery last week.
A: Pours a near black color with a half inch, brick orange to brass head with modest retention and transient but thick lacing, largely when swirled.
S: Aromas of coffee, cocoa, and vanilla initially. Hazelnuts, as billed, noted but late.
T: Flavors follow the nose, although hazelnut is much, much more evident in the flavors palate.
M: Full bodied, creamy, rich, and modest, but persistent, carbonation. Did I say rich? A bit boozy, though.
O: As billed and yummy. My first stout by Other Half and really worthy of any right handed Brooklyn Dodger's home run at Yankee Stadium. Not much more to say.

poured into a 10oz snifter glass via draft at OH
dark brown in color..like french roast coffee
smell is coffee right off the bat..and some sweet vanilla..no hazelnuts detected
taste is burnt coffee with a little bit of the vanilla..slightly sweet from the cacao nibs
very boozy..it almost dominates
nice full body and low carbination
I would have rated higher if the ABV was less present..I think if this sat for awhile it could become a great stout
