a: super hazy matte burnt golden yellow color. 1 finger frothy & rocky white head
s: creamy oranges and melon. creamsicle, kiwi, peach cobbler. crackers and candied apricots. the oats and cream add a thickness to the aroma that is hard to put into words, besides saying oats and cream. a touch of caramel sweetness and orange juice to close
t: apricots and peach hit the front of the tongue immediately followed by some rich oats. some creamy sweetness as well as some mango and sweet orange juice. faint pineapple and clementines. caramel and crackers provide some backbone and there is a touch of grapefruit juice as well
m: creamy, oaty medium-heavy mouthfeel with low-medium carbonation
o: seriously impressive NEDIPA. sweet, tropical, but the creamy oaty element adds a nice touch and some good body to this. not too sticky. really good stuff

Color and opacity as has been noted by previous review. I'm gonna reflect on my overall impressions of this beer and how it compares to other NEIPAs from the area.
First off, it's soft. You know the way that Evian water is soft? Like that. Soft and almost soapy. That's not necessarily a bad thing but it wasn't my favorite feel. But it's fascinating at the same time. Totally worth having one of these. I don't know that it would be my first pick for a second beer however.
The taste profile is very, very similar to Treehouse beers. It's got the same floral, candied sweet banana yeast up from and on the nose. Unmistakable from the first crack. The taste is nothing like more usual Citra/Mosaic/Galaxy beers. I haven't had many simcoe beers so it's hard to compare on that. But I distinctly taste cinnamon and cardamon. Those would be my two flavors in here. I would not describe it as citrusy or piney. I don't taste grapefruit, orange rind etc. It's a little sweet and ... well cinnamon. It reminds me of a very scaled back Treehouse Juice Machine ... very scaled down. Or a GGGGreen for any who have had it. That spicy flavor may well be what Simcoe hops bring - I don't know. But it's not bitter and it's not peppery.
I've only had 5 or 6 Other half beers in the last two years. Certainly this one screams of being the highest quality. That doesn't mean I love it - simply because the feel is not my thing. Still, it's totally worth tasting one of these.

From a 16oz can with no date stamp. Served in a willi becher glass.
Pours a murky and milky pale orange juice with a finger or so of fairly fizzy suds. Retention is just OK but leaves a bit of a foamy collar and a solid curtain of lacing.
Doesn’t just look like OJ, it kind of smells like it, too, but with an enticing woody, woodsy aroma. And cupcakes.
Taste is pretty much in line with the nose, orange juice, underripe mango, cantaloupe, and a sublime woody, resinous sandalwood-like earthy bitterness. God, I love simcoe!
Feel is smooth and juicy, medium bodied with fine, prickly carbonation. Drying at the finish.
Overall, not the very best simcoe single-hop ever (that was Equilibrium’s) but damn fine all the same. I said it already but, God, I love simcoe! Tastes like it was brewed with sticks and twigs and cupcakes.

Pours a very hazy golden yellow color with a dense off-white colored head. Intense citrus notes on the nose, primarily grapefruit and passion fruit.
The grapefruit and passion fruit flavors dominate this juice bomb, and there’s a subtle creamy flavor as well. The mouthfeel has some bite, which fits this juicy DIPA. A great example of a Simcoe-hopped beer, IMHO.

Canned 8/29/18, consumed 11/22/18
Just got this from a friend back East. Still spectacular for being 2+ months old. Dank Simcoe herbal/fruity aroma might have faded a bit, still delicious taste and really incredible feel for a DIPA hazy. Smooth & creamy, great medium feel and body, basically no bitterness at all.
My first Other Half. I want a whole lot more!
