Pours a deep peach color with a thick off white head. Nose is floral with citrus peal and pineapple. Taste loses me a bit. I’d like to concider myself a fan of malty beers, definitely not just all about the hops but I feel it’s not all that balanced. Instead of being unbalanced on the hop side it comes in a little too malt forward for whatever reason? It was shipped to a friend of mine and then given to me so maybe something went wrong. Anyways it’s not necessarily bad just unexpected for the style. Notes of tropical fruit come through a bit and a extreme pithy bitter citrus character as well. After drinking a few oat cream IPAs from OH like I have, this one will throw you off a bit. It comes in a little bitter and malty to finish. Smooth mouthfeel with that bitter pithy finish. It was okay. Taste definitely was the biggest disappointment but even then it was good not great.

Appearance: Pours cloudy with an apricot nectar hue; the two finger head displays good retention and lacing action
Smell: Orange, melon and lime with vanilla cream
Taste: Orange and lime forward, with vanilla cream underneath; melon tones emerge, as well; the finish brings on some orange pith
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate to high carbonation
Overall: Good but not my favorite NE IPA flavor profile
Thanks, thirsty4beer, for the opportunity
