This was another offering from Other Half that I bought and took a while to get around to, but was eager to have because I had never had these two hops alone in a beer before. Soft and easy to fall in love with, this was an American Imperial IPA that almost felt like an American Pale Ale because of it's balance, body, and lack of discernible alcohol!
Canned on 9/27/18 with "WALLT DISNEY" written below that, this poured pretty typical with a bright, brassy hue as plenty of sediment floated in the liquid. A good sheet of lacing was left behind as I worked my way through this as there weren't any easily visible rings visible in the suds. Plenty of citrus juice, white chocolate, bright weed, and forest in the nose as the taste as just as lively, deep, and dank as a beer of this sort could be. Pineapple, mango, and fruit cocktail came in once I took a sip as the tropical aspects outdid the weightier notes of this beer. Plenty of biscuit and bread in the malt as this had enough body to counterbalance the deeper feel brought on by the hops, as the carbonation was a bit lighter than I would have liked.
There was plenty of booze in this beer but it was hidden nicely as the underlying slickness of the mouthfeel tied everything in together nicely. Never expected these two hops to mesh so well together but somehow, this worked. I see this being a bit too heavy for most but for lovers of Other Half, this was an American Imperial IPA that was well worth obtaining!

Appearance: Pours fairly cloudy with a honey color; the head is impressive and leaves a smattering of lacing
Smell: Very juicy, with pineapple, mango and orange tones
Taste: Pineapple and mango forward, with dank orange flavors building, through the middle; the finish is juicy, with a balance between the bitter and sweet flavors
Mouthfeel: Medium body with moderate carbonation
Overall: One of the better NE IPAs I have tasted from Other Half; juicy like I like it
Thanks, thirsty4beer, for the opportunity

1/2 growler filled at the brewery earlier today.
Typical OH NEIPA look, lighter squash soup and leaves ample webbed sheeting all up to the top of the glass.
Ripe tropical fruit sniff.
Tasty enough, some more tropical notes, some tea infused hops, earthiness with a hit of smoke. Complex, understated, tasty and quite worthy of a try

L - 1-finger bright white head atop a translucent orange body.
S - grass, orange, grapefruit, caramel. Quite a light nose.
T - candied orange, pine, grapefruit, pineapple, melon, caramel malt. Smooth middle. Low bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - a tad too sweet, but some really nice citrus flavors here.

Pours a murky orange with a finger of white foam. Head retention is okay. Aroma is orange, clementine, pine, floral, herbal, and spicy hops with some biscuit, bread malts. It blends fruit with sticky, herbal hop notes well. Flavor profile is pine, herbal, floral, spicy, papaya, and orange hops melding the thick of an evergreen forest in the heart of the Pacific Northwest with a sunny, orange farm in the south of Florida. Biscuit and bread malts form a thick backbone, but the hops are still the story-line. Mouth feel is a little chalky, but is more velvety, fuzzy than chalky. It has a medium-thick consistency. Overall, a dense beer blending two very different hops. It's very hoppy, but grounded well by malts.
Served in a 12oz snifter from a 16oz can.

Can from 9/29/18 release. Poured into Belgian tulip.
Look is a bright orange medium haze with a fluffy white head that sticks around. Nose is exactly what you’d expect from mosaic and simcoe, dankness and pine and berry. Taste follows pretty much the same with the dankness showing up more in the back end as a little bit of bitterness in the finish. Mouthfeel is medium. Overall really good beer, and a great display of simcoe and mosaic.
