Yes, I go to Other Half nearly other week that I'm around and yes, I tend to play favorites with them on here and yes, even with all of that in mind, I was still blown away by how incredibly smooth and delicious this was! Hard to believe that this didn't come out of a nitro tap and had 13.00% ABV to it as it was so smooth, rich, and somehow easygoing at the same time!
This had a lovely pour to it as the beer was dark, silky smooth, and topped off with a near-perfect light mocha had that looked too fake to be real. That quietly settled as the bubbles were small and the lacing was even less, to my surprise. Loads of coffee, milk chocolate, rich and roasted coffee, and dark vanilla on the nose with all of those bursting forth in an amazingly delicious way on my palate. This felt like chocolate that was liquefied, enhanced, and fermented with brown sugar, lactose, and raspberries into the ultimate dessert beer, down to the last, indulgent sip.
Sure, this was strong but with so much velvety goodness for the senses going on here, you'll never smell, feel, or detect the alcohol in this as you unexpectedly wonder where the liquid in the bottle went. Such a winner here from start to finish as this was everything that an American Imperial Stout should be, without any of the overt heft or potency. Easily one of Other Half's best and one of the best Stouts I've ever had. Period!

This one pours a fairly dark black, with a very small head, and no lacing.
This smells like vanilla bean, cinnamon-spiced coffee, coffee cake, maple, molasses, lactose, and chocolate syrup.
There's so much complexity here, just from the stout and the coffee. You could almost swear there was maple or cinnamon in here with how strong those flavors. There's some delicious spiciness in this coffee, with molasses and brown sugar sweetness. There's a great amount of vanilla, too. That melds with the lactose super well.
This is thick, rich, and super creamy, with a decent level of drinkability, despite how thick this one sits on the palate.
This is incredible- possibly the best overall beer I've had from Other Half.
