Black with thin, beige head. Pistachios, chocolate, vanilla, and coffee in the aroma. Sweet with moderate, toasted bitterness. Pistachios are very well pronounced.

Pours dark and opaque, with a thin brown head that quickly calms and settles around the edge of the glass. Aroma is full of sweet, cakey vanilla, as the name would suggest, and a little booze, almost like a liqueur. Taste follows the theme, with rich, sweet flavors, somehow chocolaty and creamy at the same time. The pistachio is there, but more as an element of richness than a stand alone flavor. Thick, chewy body, that makes each sip extra satisfying. One of the best Other Half stouts I've had, and probably one of my favorite stouts in general. Delicious.

Picked this up when it was released at Other Half, getting around to it on this Super Bowl Sunday. While this was an enjoyable Stout, it was hard to really pick out any flavor in particular here and the sweetness was a bit stronger than I would have liked. Of course, this *was* an Other Half beer which meant that it was nicely crafted and easy to drink, even if it was something that I had to take my time with!
Nice pour to this as the liquid was dark, rich, and topped off by a nearly-perfect mocha head. Soft as it could be, that took a while to settle down as the fine bubbles made it nearly look like a solid. Lots of lacing was left behind as well as this had a wonderful consistency to it. Tons of pistachio, sugar, booze, and rich chocolate on the nose as the taste was almost too much for me to handle. Some cake and power made their was into this as well with the beer being quite full and chewy, minus the frosting. A bit of brandy and black raspberry came through as this warmed up, which wasn't surprising given this beer's heft!
To be fair, this was a beast that took a while to fully savor as it could not go down quickly. Thankfully, I had plenty of time to let this fully warm up as it's nuances emerged. It was a bit to sweet for me but if you like your Stouts that way, this would be a great choice. A dessert beer if there ever was one, this almost called for a bit of cream to top it off. The vanilla wasn't noticeable, but everything else was and melded nicely with the other flavors!
