Collaboration with Captain Lawrence Brewing Company
Foudre and Bourbon Barrel Aged Imperial Stout with Cacao Nibs, Macadamia, Almonds, Hazelnuts and Vanilla. This collaboration, brewed with Captain Lawrence Brewing Company over a year and half ago, was conditioned in foudre for 6 months before being transferred to Willet bourbon barrels for 12 months. We then conditioned it on huge amounts of nibs, nuts and vanilla to create a chocolate bourbon nut mix.

Acquired from Brewery on release day. Poured into teku.
L: Foam dissolves very quickly, almost acidic looking foam.
Smell: Fruity, sweet, earthy secondary.
Taste: Very sweet, artificial tasting. Can grasp all notes of nuts, cacao, vanilla, but I get fruity pebbles as a dominating taste.
Feel: Very boozy, syrupy, acidic, fruity.
Overall: This comes off strong as very sweet and powerful, doesn't mellow as it warms, but it isn't a bad brew. I was able to capture all the notes quite easily, and found this to be tasty. Hard to get the whole bottle down, share this one and let it open up over 2 hours.
