Cloudy orange color with a big, white head. Mango, melon, dank hops in aroma. Sweet, smooth beginning with decent hoppy bitterness later on. Good....

Pours a hazy golden orange with fine, soapy head that leaves plenty of lacing on the glass.
Smell is very juicy and tropical with notes of mango, pears and orange sorbet.
Taste is intense, sweet and juicy with the aforementioned fruits along with some grass and a little bit of booze. Moderate bitterness and a long finish.
Mouthfeel is medium to full, soft and creamy, with good carbonation.
Overall, a terrific DIPA with amazing mouthfeel.

its cool that they use pils malt, oats, and buckwheat as the base of this, but interestingly enough, i found this to be one of the more samey, even generic, ipa types on the menu when we visited other half. not to say it isnt amazing, they all are some of the best around, but this one, with its huge dry hopping and mixing of so many varietals, sort of loses its distinctiveness, doesnt stand out from the others as unique in any way, as much as its fresh and juicy and delicious. its crazy creamy in feel, i like all the bubbles and the finishing dryness, even a little earthy spice from the buckwheat which is flattering here, but the hops dont seem unique to me, juicy but almost kitchen sinky, citra for sure, but its hard to pick anything else out of this one, at least for my palate. a neat savory element is here which i like, a pellet derived greenness too, and then notes of tangerine, cantaloupe, and candied pineapple carry through the finish. delicious by any measure, but in a lineup of a handful of beers in the same style from other half, this one didnt really leap out of the glass at me as anything unique. still, good ipa is good ipa, and in the new england style, this has a lot of nuance and is better than so many others. this is what other half does best...

Poured from a 16 oz can into a tulip glass.
Pours a hazy golden straw color with a finger of creamy white head. The head leaves a ring of lacing before settling into a a thin sheet of foam.
The aroma brings notes of pineapples, candied orange, lime and grapefruit. There's some mild notes of bready malt on the back.
The flavor brings notes of pineapples, lemon meringue pie, lime zest and sweet, doughy malt.
The feel is medium bodied with moderate carbonation. Soft and creamy. Alcohol is well hidden.
Overall, a pretty good DIPA that is on the sweeter side but not cloying. Not sure what the hell buckwheat has to do with this beer but it's in it.
