Starts with a slightly citrusy presence, but then it’s apparent there’s more of a soft, subtle, tropical profile. Just a bit of fruity tanginess and a mildly dank pine. Crisp, clean, well hidden alcohol. Not bad.

Can poured into a Mountain Rambler Brewery pint glass
A: Pours hazy peachy golden amber with a frothy of white head that settles to a light layer and laces nicely.
S: Rich juicy tropical and stone fruit, citrus, resinous, slightly grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness.
T: Tropical and stone fruit, mango nectar, peach, apricot, passion fruit, guava, and pineapple, citrus, lime, grapefruit, and tangerine, peppery spice, a bit resinous and grassy, biscuity malt, and caramel sweetness, with a little alcohol poking through at times.
M: A bit on the fuller side of medium body, moderate carbonation, and a little hop burn that intensifies as it warms up.
O: There's a kinda sharp spicy resinous note that runs up the side of your tongue and combines with the alcohol and the hop burn to give this one a rough edge I wasn't expecting. The way the alcohol pokes through also makes it drink like it's bigger than just 8.5%. There are some really nice fruity notes in there, but they can get kinda overwhelmed. I'm wondering if this is another OH beer where the DDH edition pushes the hops a bit too far and throws off the balance. Gotta hope we get lucky and see another OH shipment hit CA that includes OG Green Diamonds. For now, this one is good, but flawed, and also my least favorite of their beers that I've been able to try.
