Cryo? I should know what that means but I'm gathering that the hops used in this aren't the typical Citra and Mosaic that I've become accustomed to as this had a slightly different feel to it. Canned on 12/14/18, this was a fun and soft beer that held up well as there wasn't any visible sediment to it although it had a bit of a darker and danker feel to it under the initial burst of flavor...
This had a nice, golden hue to it with a decent amount of brightness and a uniform cloudiness to it. Enough head topped it off as the lacing left behind was in the form of thin rings that bent a bit. Mango, weed, grain, and creamy sweetness were in the muted nose as they were much more pronounced in the taste. Onions and scallion spice, earthy citrus, and dry lime came into the mix as this was equally dry and spicy on the palate. An underlying, outdoorsy dankness tied everything in together as the mouthfeel was quite smooth for everything that was going on. A nice body and enough carbonation kept this from feeling too layered as the flavors didn't last long, but had me wanting to take another sip.
The booze was on par with other beers that I've had from Other Half and yes, I could feel myself warm up a bit before I finished this off. Enough slickness was here to make this go down fast but the heaviness of the flavors was almost contradictory to that. A bit more sweetness would have been great but the full, grainy body and range of flavors were more than enough to keep my attention. This was different, but fun at the same time and once again, was a quality brew from Other Half that left me wanting more!

Not the best from Other Half, but it’s still a solid beer. Other Half sets the bar way too high on IPA’s

Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a custom Captain Lawrence taster pint; canned on 12/14/2018 and purchased at the brewery yesterday.
A: Pours a hazy, but translucent golden-orange color (looks like Orangade) with a one and a half finger white head, limited retention, but solid, if somewhat soapy lacing.
S: Aromas of mango, tangerine, lime, grain, and ripe nectarine with a subtle sweet honeysuckle note. ?Savory.
T: Sweet with a much more grainy flavor than is evident from the nose, but the flavor palate otherwise follows. Solid bitterness largely underneath, but very much offsetting the sweetness.
M: Medium bodied with moderate to strong carbonation.
O: Another delicious DIPA from Other Half. Thought the Citra Cryo added in this case.
