This was the last of the Smoke Screens & Oil Slicks that I bought from Other Half, as it took a while for me to get to. Enjoyed all of the the other iterations of this and even though I'm not a huge coconut fan, this was really enjoyable and easy to drink given how much alcohol was in it!
Nice pour to this as the liquid was dark with a tan head that was quite loud as it settled down. Bubbles of all sizes could be found in it as they quickly and loudly settled, leaving behind a few thin rings of lacing that weren't seen further down as I worked my way through this. Lots of coconut in the nose to go with a rich vanilla and moderate cream that gave this just a bit of sweetness. All of those were found in the taste along with moderate hints of booze, banana, and milk chocolate. Naturally sweet, this had a slick mouthfeel, low carbonation, and underlying potency that caught up with me once I finished this off.
Not terribly strong on the palate, the amount of *perceived* booze was in line with everything else that this had to offer. Thankfully, the coconut was toned down enough to not be overwhelming while allowing everything else to complement it nicely. Not terribly smoked, a hint of that could be felt once I finished it off and allowed everything to linger on my palate. Quite subtle in nature, I enjoyed this as this nearly won me over to it's flagship flavor. Once again, Other Half has brewed a Stout on par with their other offerings, from start to finish. Worth seeking out!

Mid sized bottle, purchased at the source about a week ago.
Typical Imperial stout look, black and menacing, minimal to no lacing left on the glass.
Some toast and cafe au lait on the nose.
This is a super smooth, thick and rich, deliciously flavorful and terrific Stout...Thoughts of chocolate, marshmallows, coconut, vanilla all floating around the mouth. 13.8% (!!) super well hidden, but make no mistake, this is some mighty tasty and heady stuff! Stout lovers rejoice...Go get some

nice smoke flavors on the nose and throughout. theyre obvious but simultaneously subtle. there is a hint of cocnut and some vanilla flavors. booze is well hidden and its a really smooth beer for the abv. overall sort of simple and lacking complexity but the profile is unique enough that its pretty impressive in its execution.
