Over the years, I've had quite a few brews from Other Half and while most of them were wonderfully enjoyable, a lot weren't that different from each other outside of hop variants or changes in style. As soon as I took a whiff and had my fist sip of this, I could feel that Omnipollo had a hand in making this as it was incredibly sweet, sugary, and powdery as this felt like a dessert beer to another degree. While this might not be up everyone's alley, I enjoyed it and how smooth it felt to my senses!
The pour to this was about the only aspect that reminded me of my usual fare from Other Half. Golden and hazy, the hue was nicely uniform but wasn't topped off by a big head. Hardly any lacing was left behind as well as a wavy ring near the top of my pint glass was about all that remained once I worked my way through this. Tons of milk, lactose, powdered sugar, cake frosting, and vanilla in the nose as the taste seemed like a smorgasbord of dessert flavors that hit me all at once. Powdery, gritty, and subtly slick when it came to the mouthfeel, the Citra and Galaxy allowed this to be familiar and accessible with the citrus, juicy, and dank notes coming in underneath as this warmed up. Creamy and somewhat cloying, there was a vanilla sherbet undertone that tied in the sweeter up-front punch that this packed to the IPA-like aspect in the pack as this didn't remain in my pint glass for very long!
Indeed, this packed a bit of a punch but it was subdued by everything else that was going on here. Canned on 12/28/18, this was sicker than your average beer but in an experimental sense. Can't say that I've ever had anything like this and since I love most of what both breweries put out, I'd love to see these two do another collaboration in the future as a Stout, IPA, or nearly any style would be enhanced by what they have to contribute. Fun stuff if you can handle it!

A creamy, pale yellow color, with basically no head. Smell is a little vanilla with something bright (hops, I guess?) and boozy. As mentioned, it's made with 6 different types of vanilla. Guess what. It tastes like vanilla! You get a little more of the hops at the end, coming through in the form of a somewhat citrusy, bitter finish. Body is minimally carbonated, fairly watery, easy to sip, especially for being $10. I like little experiments in beer like this, and in that sense, I enjoyed it, but it's not something I'd want to drink all the time.

12/28/18..tall can
Typical OH NEIPA kinda look
The nose is loaded up with nuts, and more nuts and a load of vanilla.
Interesting and heady brew, more and more nutty notes along with a blast of vanilla coming forward. On the hot side with gin infused alcohol notes abounding, but not quite overpowering the wall of vanilla that continues to exert its influence. Sweet and boozy...not the favorite lane of many.
Heady stuff at over 10%, def not the greatest OH brew...but still worth a try and happened t as a night capper.
