Cloudy yellow. Big, white head. Tropical fruits, oat malt, and a hint of alcohol in the aroma. Moderately sweet with hoppy bitterness for balance.Easy drinkable, despite of ABV.

My good friend and old neighbor from the 'Wego gave me a can of this beer. It poured a thick hazy yellow with white head that is leaving some lace. The scent had dank fruit notes. The taste was nicely balanced and easy to drink with dank tropical fruit peel presence. The mouthfeel was fuller in body with good carbonation. Overall it's a solid beer.

Yeah, this wasn't dated on the bottom as it ended up getting lost in the middle of my stash. Thankfully, I was able to enjoy this on a relaxing night as it was quite possibly the best Nelson beer that I've ever had. As I'm not a huge fan of this style, I really enjoyed this and how incredibly smooth it was as the more rough and exotic edges that were present in other Nelson beers wasn't quite present here!
This had such a typical look to it but somehow, it fit in with everything else that was going on here - peach, dank, and cloudy as the hue was muddled and what one would expect from a New England IPA with plenty of bubbly head to top it off. The lacing left behind was quite layered and extensive although most of it was concentrated along the top half of my pint glass. Lots of tangerine, cream, floral notes, and white wine in the nose as the taste contained all of those along with orange, orange blossom, light wood, white grape, and muted pineapple dankness. Wonderfully balanced, sweet, dank, and creamy, this hit all the right notes without being overpowering as it was one of the easiest Other Half beers that I've ever had the pleasure of kicking back with!
How this had 10.5% ABV, I'll never know but it's in there somewhere although you'd be hard-pressed to find it with everything else that was going on here. A basic malt and light carbonation allowed the flavors to shine as the Nelson emerged more in the aftertaste, with the varied wine notes and underlying dankness emerging in the aftertaste. What a winner this beer was!

Can: Poured a cloudy/hazy deep orangey color ale with a large white foamy head with light retention and some lacing. Aroma of orange juice and juicy hops notes is pleasant. Taste is a mix of orange juice notes with some deep floral hops notes with a sweet finish. Body is full with good carbonation with light warming alcohol notes. Enjoyable but too sweet and cloying.

Welcome back to New New Half of the Other Glarus Beer Sunday (Week 781)! India This, as well as everything for today, came to me CANtesy of my H NIght Trivia Team, Bert & Dana, not to be CANfused with Bert & Harry of Piels fame.
From the CAN: "Imperial Oat Cream India Pale Ale". WTF, over?!?
Man, this fits right in with the day. I got released ROR, thanks to my top mouthpiece, Jimmy Keaveney. Man's a champ, coming up from Flo Rida to get me bounced! Time to Crack! one more of these bad boys. I'm glad to see that my girl didn't bolt. Matter of fact, she was the one that got Jimmy the K. onna horn. Speaking of horny, baby, you still making with that Sauvignon Blanc? Lemme Crack! the vent on this daydream, we give Nelson a call & it's all a ball, dig? I was distracted a moment ago, but not so much that I couldn't CANduct a slow, gentle C-Line Glug into the awaiting glass. The dense, thick, creamy two-fingers of bone-white head brought me back to her creamy, blonde thighs! Mmm. This Sunday is shaping up like a champ! I asked her where she was from & she mumbled, in a hazy, turbid voice, something about "New England". Cool, cool. That explains the look! I was worried that she might'a gotten into my stash & done something she shouldn't oughtta. Her scent was totes vinous, man, like she was using that bottle of Sauvignon Blanc for perfume! Wow, I dig innovation, man! Yeah, I kid you not. I thought that this was beer, but it smelled like wine. 8=O I opened my yap for that first taste & she dove in like it was opening day at the local swimming pool! Schlitz used to advertise "Just a kiss of the hops", but this was a French kiss of the hops! Man, she was all over my tongue, slipping & sliding around like a baby seal. Mouthfeel was medium-to-full, but with a super-slickness that I could barely keep in my mouth before it simply slithered away down my gullet. Did I just ingest a snake?!? Wouldn't be the first time, but I prefer exotics cooked, not raw! Man, this daydream is triple outta CANtrol! I CAN't tell what's for rilz, except for the unCANny taste of white wine that is simply unabating. That's what's up, yo! This was some deliciousness served up with a tad bit of dank just to keep us all on our toes. Finish wanted to finish me, but I wouldn't have none of it. It was surprisingly only semi-dry where its white wine CANterpart is usually super-dry. This had a lil bit of tropical fruit sweetness on its back end & while it did not make it "sweet", it took the edge off of "dry". YMMV. While yer CANgitating all of that, I am just going to sit back, licking my lips & CANtemplating my next move. This bears quiet CANtemplation, yo.

From a Teku glass. Classic juicy grapefruit tropical fruit flavor with the heavy hazy mouth feel that is textbook for New England Hazy in my opinion. The look is flawless. It leaves me feeling like I'm in a among the pine trees in Maine on an October morning. I'd like to do a side by side with top of the line Tree House Brewery Hazy.

My first Other Half and I’m excited to try them. They did a surprise one time drop at Binny’s in Chicago and I’m liking this trend for breweries to do this even if it screws my local breweries.
It has a nice juicy color and it’s completely opaque. The head stays on it after a rough pour. I can smell the alcohol a bit but taste wise it’s hidden amazingly well for a triple IPA. The mouthfeel is it’s bear feature. I’m not sure I’ve had many softer IPAs before. Absolutely perfect. Overall I’m really enjoying this offering. The dankness adds a nice bite but I could use a bit more juiciness as well. A great beer worth seeking out!
