Decanted from a 16 oz (473 ml) can into a custom Willi Becher pint glass; canned 09/29/20, code ALL TOPPINGS EARTING [sic].
A: Pours an opaque, dark golden color with a one finger, foamy, white head, more than rim retention, and discrete, foamy rings of complex lacing.
S: Aromas of pineapple, grapefruit, tangerine, and dry straw. A chemical note is increasingly noticeable as it warms, consistent with BandAid.
T: Semisweet. Flavors a melange of the nose. Chemical note persists as a BandAid. Solid bitterness.
M: Medium bodied with medium effervescence. Creamy on the palate.
O: Loved the name, because, as a kid, used to get a "slice and a Coke" at Tony Roma's for $1.00. That said, off flavors tend to be tough to detect in hop laden, contemporary AIPAs. Hops tend complexify the flavor so much, it hides many "sins". Not so "old" and only got it last week. Perhaps my least favorite offering from OH, ever.

If you're a New Yorker and pull a ton of late nights there like I do, there's nothing like a dollar slice at 3 or 4 in the morning after a long night out. Gotta love this beer's name as it's as local as anything gets in the Big Apple but like it's original iteration that I've had, this was solidly crafted, easy on the wallet and palate, and not particularly memorable in any aspect. This was a blue collar beer that easily fit the bill and hit the spot at the same time!
Like most beers from Other Half, this had an appealing look to it as the liquid was hazy, golden, and uniform in hue. The head wasn't terribly extensive but the rings left behind were wondrous as each well-defined layer bled down to the next as a majority of my pint glass was covered in thick, voluminous suds that were among the best that I've ever seen. Pizza dough, cheese, oregano, pineapple funk, and feet were in the nose as the taste was just as heavy and deep without being overly strong or boozy. Somehow, this ended up tasting like pizza because of how full, cheesy, and vegetal it was like a true New York slice. It took a while for me to feel it since this needed to fully warm up, but once it did, it was very easy to kick back with!
There's alcohol in here but it's not too strong as the flavors were more than enough to compensate for any heft that I could have felt. Canned on 5/16/19 with "DUSTY OREGANO" written below it, this almost needed a bit of Parmesan or pepper flakes to toss in for an extra kick. Some Galaxy, celery, and light urine lingered in the aftertaste but overall, this was as good as anything I'd get from Joe's or Artichoke in the wee hours. Another winner from Other Half that could only be brewed and truly appreciated in New York!

Freshie can direct from the source in BKLYN...11/29/18 dating on bottom of can.
Typical quality look to this NEIPA, hazed, creamy looking, delicate cap, leaving gobs of fine lace/sheeting.
Sweet tropical fruit nose, with a load of pineapple juice coming to mind.
Delicious brew with another load of yummy pineapple on the palate, drying out a bit in the finish with some herbal and citrusy hops...these guys keep churning out the over the top wonderful brews of this style...and I like it.
