The same base as Triple Citra but with one of our new favorite hops, Idaho 7, which is super pineapple forward.

16 oz can pours hazed pineapple yellow with frothy white head and some nice lacing.
Nose is pineapple, mango and melon with a touch of sweet cream and slight hops in the back.
Mouth is a creamy tropical juice Bomb with pineapple, mango and melon with a finish of sweet creaminess interlaced perfectly with hop bitterness. A complex symphony of juiciness!!

I'm pretty sure that this is the first beer brewed in 2019 that I was able to review on here, as I'm quite behind on my queue here in New Jersey. Over the years, I haven't become completely accustomed to Idaho 7 but at the same time, I came to enjoy it as a hop in the brews that I enjoyed. That was the case with this as this was on par with Other Half's other offerings that I ended up falling in love with!
This had a lovely and bright deep apricot hue to the pour with enough head topping it off with plenty of lacing left behind. That was in the form of ringed webbing as each layer was deep, solid, and bled down to the one below it. Plenty of spelt grain, tropical fruit, and muted wheat was in the nose as the taste contained all of these to the same extent. Deep and dank juicy hops could be felt throughout from the Idaho 7 as the Hawaiian Punch factor could be felt throughout. From the tropical aroma, to the juicy taste, to the florid and dank mouthfeel, those hops were the hallmark of this beer throughout my time with it. Loads of pineapple, tropical fruit, fruit cocktail, and slick vegetables were present through my time with this as the end result was a beer that was deep, dank and enjoyable upon fully warming up.
Yes, this was strong and yes, the booze was easily detectable but thankfully, it didn't detract from everything else as it only enhanced the potency that was present in this beer. While not among Other Half's best offerings, this was solid and on par with what else they've released in recent months. If you like your beers to be be juicy, vegetal, and slick, then you need to look no further. Dated 1/4/18 with "CREAM O POTATO" written underneath that, this was a brew that was worthy of it's label. Other Half has another winner with this one!

Can dated 01/04:
Pours a froth of pale yellow on white, filling the glass with similar, though there's a little bruised nectarine flesh nature to the cloudy body. Lacing is quite heavy, especially early, as the whiped cream head that covers the body apparently has a little stick to it.
My nose might be slightly influenced by the description, as I seem to get a little pineapple - but not what I'd describe as "super-forward." I'm getting a little yeast and oat with an overripe tropical fruit-infused alcohol burn. Against this is a general vegetal hoppiness. Overall, there seems to be a buoying sweetness that has me expecting a balanced to maybe even malt-leaning NE IPA.
Ahh - on the taste I am getting a more specific pineapple note, along with accents that remind me of sweet apple and coconut. There is a malty backbone that provides the level of sweetness I expected. The vegetal hop bitterness from the nose doesn't really play in - but there is an oat presence that dries things out for me a little bit. There's a guva/orange undercurrent that counters the malt opening more with a bit of juicy tartness.
This beer had a little bite to it at 10%, and a bit of an oat stickiness (I seem to have an aversion to the feel of a certain level of oat). However, I generally enjoy it, mainly because the flavors play well together and I feel I get a bit of what the hops are intended to impart.
