This is our rendition of one of our favorite styles of Pilsner, super dry hopped Italian style. It's crisp and refreshing and super hop forward with Saaz, Saphir, Tettnanger and Wai-iti. And if you're wondering, the design is inspired by a cool bus we saw in Rome.

A Pilsener? From Other Half? Can't say that this was like most of their offerings that I've had but I'm glad that they gave this style a go! It took me a while to get around to this, as it had a canning date of 12/31/18, but it was worth the wait as I enjoyed how different it was and how refreshing it felt after all of the heavy beers I've reviewed on here recently!
The pour to this was nice and golden with plenty of light coming through it. Not a lot of head topped it off as the lacing left behind was in the form of deep, but thin rings that weren't quite uniform. Lots of Saaz hops in the nose as the bright grass and grain stood out along with some sourness, cracked bread, and grainy spice that were also in the taste. This was more full and bright that a typical beer of this style but stayed true to it's stylistic roots at the same time. Slick and easy to down, there wasn't any sediment at the bottom of the liquid although I needed a small chaser of water at the end to take away the slightly dry, lime-like aftertaste that lingered on my palate.
Hardly any booze here as it would have been possible to down another once I finished this off. This was fine by itself and as a diversion from my usual fare but it's hard to see how this style would ever catch on with the masses. This was nicely crafted and fun, but I'm not sure if I'd want this often. Made for a fun and enjoyable diversion, however you look at it!

Tall can, 12/31/18
Pour is very light, yellowy and surprise - near clear..not often does anybody say that about an OH brew.. Lifts a large but short lived near white cap, that fades and leaves a bunch of wispy lacing on the glass..
Moderate and adjunct like sniff.
Light, crisp and refreshing...but lacking much flavor or interest....decent enough brew to wash down a slice of pizza....
