Collaboration with Captain Lawrence Brewing Company
This collaboration, brewed with Captain Lawrence Brewing Co. over a year and a half ago was conditioned in foudres for 6 months before being transferred to Willett bourbon barrels for 12 months. This version is jammed with Marcona almonds, Saigon cinnamon, and Tahitian vanilla. Think cinnamon vanilla ice cream with almond topping, impersonating a stout.

This one pours a silky looking dark black color, with a small foamy head, and not much lacing.
This one smells like red wine barrel, silky vanilla, cinnamon candy, old oak, a bit of nuttiness, Hershey's syrup, and molasses.
This is quite sweet, but the cinnamon does temper the sweetness a bit, and there's some nice oakiness. The wine foudres add an intriguing fruity sweetness. The vanilla adds a cake-like sweetness, and I don't get a ton of the almonds unfortunately.
This is silky and velvety, but not super thick. It's very drinkable, and not boozy at all.
This is yet another real great stout from OH - they have been hitting grand slams lately.
