Collaboration with Barrier Brewing co. This all galaxy hopped ale is a 50/50 mix of 2-row and 3 kinds of oats plus it’s a blend of our ale yeast and a wit yeast strain. Smooth, crushable and galaxy forward.

Gold bangles? Just the mention of that sounds dated but this beer was anything but that as it was a collaboration between two brewers that I was familiar with and liked. Sure, it was shiny, radiant, and seemingly luxurious but in the end, it was not as flashy and durable as I would have liked...
Milky and golden, this had the hue that I've come to expect from either of these breweries although there wasn't anything outstanding about this beer's appearance. It was topped off with enough head as the lacing left behind was quite sparse outside of the deep and dripping ring near the top of my pint glass. Full of pineapple, deep forest, and outdoorsy pine in the nose, the taste was just as brassy, deep, and woodsy as the aroma indicated. That's not to say that this was great- but it had just enough going for it to hold my attention. There was enough wheat in the body to keep this full and balanced but in the end, this left me wanting more once the last sip went down...
Not a lot of booze in this as the flavors were the stalwarts of this beer. A sense of white cheddar and lively wheat was what stood out to me with this beer being more forward in body and lacking in overt hops. While this wouldn't please everyone, it was more an American Pale Ale than anything else, with the bright, lasting sensation of gold holding onto me when all was said and done. Easy to drink but tough to figure out!

Thanks to CanConPhilly for this one. 16oz can poured into 12oz tulip. Poured a very murky yellow, kinda like pineapple juice, with 1/4 inch of white head that had low retention and light lacing.
Pine hops were at the front of the aromatics, with a bit of pineapple. No malt scent. Very similar on the tongue, pine and pineapple hops, and no malt.
The body was light, crisp, and had real good effervescence across the tongue. Drinkability was very good, smooth and easy. Overall, a very pleasant brew. Worth a shot if you see it.

Decent collaboration beer with Barrier brewing company. Multiple kinds of wheat in the brew, and hopped with galaxy hops. Easy to drink at 5.4% ABV and overall solid.

A client of mine gifted me with a 4-pack of one of the seemingly thousands of varieties of Other Half's heavy-duty East Coast IPA's but at 10+%, it was beyond me. Gold Bangles? Much more balanced, easier to drink (duh!), thoroughly enjoyable. For a guy like me who prefers, by a wide margin, the West Coast style, this one aims to please and hits the mark.
