032719 At the source on draught. Decadent and delicious. Coming to proper temperature allows aromas of bananas foster and cinnamon which are welcoming. Milk chocolate is omnipresent and leads to a sweet toffee with banana. Not much coconut nor alcohol.
032819 Bottle Similar experience to draught. Mouthfeel is perfect. Borderline cloying doesn’t bother me with this style, but definitely split the bottle 2-3 ways.
041919 Bottle Consistent with previous.

Picked this up last month along with the other iteration of this and was eager to give it a go since it this was a collaboration with Bottle Logic. The combination of flavors was a bit odd and the end result was something that went down nicely but not as memorably as I would have liked.

Of course, the pour to this was nice as the liquid was dark and the head was full of mocha but very thin and short-lasting. The lacing left behind was unimpressive as well as this was thinner than I was hoping for. Loads of coconut, cinnamon, banana, and milk chocolate on the nose as the taste had all of those together. Toasted, spicy, and somewhat cloying, this felt like it had lactose in it since it was sweet to a large extent. Fairly nutty, the chocolate presence was enough to hold my attention as this was just rich enough to pull me in until the last sip...

As was the case with the other beers of this type that I've had from Other Half recently, the alcohol was extremely recessed to the sense as this did not feel like a beer that was 14.00% ABV. One bottle of this was enough for a sitting as I enjoyed it and how much it felt like a banana cream or coconut cream pie. If you're into that - you've found your match here but with some more flavor and depth, this could have been among Other Half's best!

Bottle shared by Matthew. Thanks man!

Cinnamon, while delicious, can overrun a beer, dominating more subtle flavors and nuances.
