Thick chocolate in looks and feel and a good selection of nuts. A chocolate liquor that works as a beer. Fifteen percent? Hah, No alcohol felt. Bottle from the source.

Mid sized, undated bottle.
Pours dark and stout like, sports a tight dark mocha cap and leaving minor spots of lacing.
Rich and luxorious sniff, with notes of chocolate, cocoa, nuts and then lucious, pleasingly sweet vanilla beans.
Super smotth and velvety mouthfeel.
On the palate its more of the same, soft chocolate, nuts and more nuts, delicious and well crafted...world class creation...go get some

Picked this up at Other Half last month, along with the other Iteration of this that was sold at the same time. After having the Pastrytown beers, I was hoping that this would be just as enjoyable but unfortunately, this came up just a bit short in my book. Sure, it was decent, nicely crafted, and enjoyable to a certain degree but the taste was too nutty and the mouthfeel could have been more rich and creamy. Since it wasn't, there wasn't anything to offset the notes that I felt as this was too heavy-handed on the palate for me...
Not a bad pour to this as the liquid was dark, somewhat thick, and topped off by plenty of mocha head that took it's time to settle down. Most of the lacing that was left behind was around the collar as there were a few faint rings below it. Tons of hazelnut and pecans in the nose although the aroma itself wasn't terribly strong or enticing. The cacao nibs, nuttiness, cocoa powder, and moderate milk creaminess came through in the taste but in the end, this didn't quite cut it for me. Somewhat thick, cloying, and muddled, it was a slow sipper in the sense that the taste never warmed up to me, even as this beer fully warmed up...
As was the case with the other Stouts that I've had from Other Half, the alcohol in this was quite recessed and only noticeable once I finished this off and felt the buzz. While nto a bad beer, this was nothing like the We've Been Out There in Orbit beers that I've had from them over the years. Only worth a go if you're like me and buy everything from them, and keep the label once all is said and done...

not bad, but not as good as i was hoping on this one... as for tis style of stout, Untitled Art seems to have nailed it! kind of a funky flavor in there i cant put my finger on. as if one of the adjuncts/ingredients had spoiled?

Solid beer with cacao, vanilla, pecans, and hazlenuts. Honestly prefer the Other Half All 5th Anniversary to this, but still a whale beer given the pedigree. A pleasure to drink, excited to try V1 which was sold out on tap at Other Half (but snagged a bottle).
