Strong on the grapefruit aroma and taste but not bitter. Tastes juicy and almost sweet, maybe my favorite beer!

Mild grapefruit, pineapple, floral taste notes. Medium-bodied, abundantly hopped.

Poured from a 16oz can dated 01/03/22 (about about 50 days old) to a Nonic at fridge temp.
Aroma is a musty orange and a spice a cannot place.
Hazy body that is mostly orange. A thin white head laces the glass nicely.
Taste is sweet orange juice followed by a hop dryness on the finish.
The mouth feel is a nice creamy texture and the carbonation is average.
Overall- Pretty good for a 50 day old IPA.

From a 16oz can, dated 12/22/20. Served in a cervoise.
Pours a thick and murky appearing mango colour with a finger or so of soft, soapy, lathery head. Retention is unremarkable but leaves a creamy cap and collar and a curtain of foamy lacing.
A moderately robust yeasty, fruity nose, aromas of juicy, dripping tropical fruits.
Taste is all-over grapefruit and dope. Bitter grapefruit juice and major-league cannabis funk, flowery, pineapple, sticky, juicy jungle fruits. A weedy, flowery, pungent sort of pepper-like character lingers briefly, mostly in the sinuses.
Feel is juicy-dense, medium-hefty bodied with ample fine, tingly carbonation. Not the slightest bit of heat. Heavy but nice.
Overall, wow, good stuff. It’s delicious but seriously heavy going and a palate-wrecker to boot. I’ve only got the two cans and that’s probably a good thing. Although I may not feel that way tomorrow.

This was yet another beer that I bought at Other Half and took a while to get around to, as it ended up in the middle of my queue. Can't say that I've knowingly had anything with Strata in it before but this turned out to be quite heavy and thick as the Citra kept this from being any more overbearing and weighty on the palate...
Canned on 3/26/19 with "BOGO TENDIES" written below it, this poured a deep peachy orange with the middle being quite darker than the outside of the liquid. Enough head topped this off as the lacing was mostly confined to a deep, but thin, ring near the top of my pint glass. Orange, deep floral, melon, and pineapple were in the nose along with some light cream to take the edge off a bit. The taste was just as dank, juicy, and somewhat exotic as it almost felt like there was some Idaho 7 in this. No, this wasn't like Hawaiian Punch but the end result was somewhat on that level of tropical taste as this was quite heavy on the palate and something the felt like it was straight out of Florida!
Not a lot of booze here as the carbonation was quite understated too. Full in body but lacking in any discernible malt presence, there was enough slickness to make this go down easily although the feel was weighted enough that this took a while to work my way through. I wish more beers contained Strata so I was more familiar with it but the end result of it's pairing with the Citra was a brew that was intriguing, enjoyable, and left me wanting another can on hand, as well as a chaser of water...
