We paired this new (to us, and in general) fruity hop variety with our old pal Citra.

This was yet another beer from Other Half that I bought there and took a while to get around to. It's not often that I have a beer with Triumph in it and even as this warmed up, I never fully became accustomed to it. It was soft and plush like so many beers from Other Half but just a bit too turbid and heavy for me to rate any higher on here.
Canned on 4/9/19 with "NEW HOP, WHO DIS?" written below it, this was indeed new although it's appearance was pretty familiar. Bright, amber, and topped off with a small but full head, the lacing left behind was concentrated near the top of my pint glass in the form of a few thin, but deep, rings that bled down. Lots of turbid citrus, deep floral, orange blossom, and deep weed in the nose as the taste was even heavier and more outdoorsy on the palate. Woodsy funk, this almost felt like a Wild Ale. Not as much slickness to this as I would have liked as the hops were in a bit of conflict until the last sip.
The alcohol was typical for an Other Half offering and the malt and carbonation were quite recessed. Just a bit of water was needed after this to get it down as it remained quite heavy with a bit of pine and deep, wet grass the lingered well after I finished this off. Worth a go once but not among their better dual-hop beers. Worth a go once for the difference from the proverbial norm!
