Bottle. Tan head. Black color.
Lots of maple. Coffee and chocolate. Hershey’s syrup and cocoa powder. Caramel. Thick feel. Bitter chocolate.
This is a solid stout, but nothing over the top.

Appearance - Pours thick black with a nice mocha colored head that settles to a thick ring. Few dots of lacing.
Aroma - Coffee is fighting with the maple syrup for front stage, the sweetness and the bitterness really work well on the nose. Roasted malts, chocolate. Nose is pretty boozy as well.
Taste - Really sweet maple syrup, the cacao nibs are really powerful, the coffee is somewhat hidden by them. The taste like the nose is really well balanced sweetness and bitterness. Alcohol is pretty well hidden.
Feel - Slick creamy full bodied nice warmth from the alcohol, dry finish.
Overall- Really well done stout, all the components really standout nose is more maple taste is more chocolate but it is all good.

Pours very dark, minimal mocha head with a gentle pour. Tremendous maple aroma, loads of chocolate and coffee follow. Taste follows nose, very rich, loads of maple syrup, yet a very balanced sweetness. Chocolate and coffee mix in perfectly. The only thing that could make this better is a year in a barrel...

This beer pours pitch black with a decent head. Taste of maple as well as chocolate and good balance of sweetness. Also some taste of molasses as well.

Bought this and it's other Iteration at Other Half last week, eager to give it a go. As a few people told me, the version with the peanut butter was better than this but I still enjoyed this beer just as much as it went down easily for being so strong and unlike their recent bottled offerings, this didn't have an overpowering sweetness to it. Instead, the chocolate dominated here as this was pretty rich and full of cacao!
Nice, dark pour to this as it was almost as brown as brown could get. Topped off by a silky mocha head that took it's time to fully settle down and beautiful rings of lacing left behind, this was a beer that I could easily get behind from the get-go! Lots of cacao in the nose along with milk chocolate, coffee, and thick maple syrup. Lots of the latter was in the taste as this was quite thick and viscous with being too over the top. Molasses and sarsaparilla came through as this warmed up, making this beer even thicker and lingered on my palate (and upper lip!) long after the last sip went down...
Sure, this was a beast but it was pretty subtle and warmed up on me as the liquid got closer to room temperate. No sweetness or flashiness from peanut butter here but there's enough else going on and plenty to like regardless of that. Fun stuff that that's worthy, and appropriate for it's moniker. Glad I picked both iterations up!

On tap at Other Half Brewing Co in Bloomfield, NY.
This one pours a fairly dark black color, with a small head, and basically no lacing.
This one smells like sweet maple, booze, roasted malt, boozy cold brew, and chocolate fudge.
This is definitely sweet, like most Other Half stouts. The maple is strong and syrupy, with just the slightest hint of dark chocolate to try to balance it out. There's a touch of coffee, and as mentioned before - loads of chocolate.
This is medium bodied, decently chewy, with an alright level of drinkability.
This isn't quite as good as the peanut butter version, but I still dig it.
