Love these beers from Other Half but this one didn't quite cut it for me. Sure, it was enjoyable, easy to drink, and had all of the flavors there were listed on the can, but this one felt just a bit too syrupy and artificial to me. Certainly not like other Berliner Weisse beers that I've had as this was full of fruit and let me just a bit too much weighted down after I finished it off...
The pour to this was a muted deep peach as this even looked like it was a heavy beer. Not a lot of head to top this off as the lacing down the side was nonexistent as well. Lots of earthy strawberry patch, deep mango, vanilla cream, and syrupy sweetness in the nose as this was as big a dessert beer as I've ever had for this style. Just as fruity and creamy on the palate, this could have used a bit more carbonation to keep things light. Hard to detect any bitterness as the tartness and lactic acid stood out more. Not a lot of malt in this as the body was plenty and took a back seat to how dense this felt to me.
Not a ton of booze here and had there been more, this would have come across as a slow sipper. Canned on 5/3/19, I liked this but also thought that one was enough for a sitting. This was a novelty to me that was fun once but almost needed to be placed in a different, or entirely new category!

Mostly clear burnt orange with an off-white head dying to a film.
Flavor emulates tart vanilla orange push pops, or even those creamy oatmeal fruit packets, with toasty crust via a crisp tingly medium-light body finishing semi-dry with a hint of a green biting herbality.

Appearance - Pours hazy dark orange/peach color, decent white head that quickly settles to a thin ring. No lacing.
Aroma - Ripe strawberry, vanilla, overly ripe mango.
Taste - Flavors pop a little more in the taste, nose is a touch muddled. Nice strawberry, the vanilla is well balanced and smooth the acidity a little. Pretty sweet, not getting much mango but the strawberry and vanilla are powerful.
Feel - Medium bodied, slightly oily nice dry finish.
Overall - I really dig the flavors in this, the vanilla works really well and is a great compliment to the strawberry.

Sour wheat ale with lactose as well as mangoes and strawberries with some good vanilla taste as well. Very refreshing beer - terrific for the summer.
