Yeah, I'm an Other Half junkie and borderline groupie as I've been there a zillion times and have had nearly every major beer that they've released over the last 4+ years. Some were great, some were alright, but none of them were quite like this offering. From it's name, to the label, to the extremely orange-y taste, there was a lot going on here and although it wasn't close to being their best offering, it was the first in ages that put a smile on my face!
Love the extrapolation of the clouds on the label, done in orange, as it was an indicator of what was inside of the can. Somewhat pulpy in hue, there was some light that came in around the edges as the head that topped this off was sufficient enough to offset the liquid. Most of the lacing left behind was in the form of a few soapy rings near the top as this had a nice consistency to it. Ever take an orange and slice it in wedges, while sucking it slice by slice? The rind that remained once you ate all of the edible fruit is *exactly* what this smelled like, with a ton of candied sugar thrown in to put it over the top. The latter reminded me of candy from yesteryear as it was quite artificial and strong, but on par with everything else going on here. Enough juice and slickness could be found up-front as the sweetness from the milk sugar combined with the smoothness from the Mosaic Cryo to give this all the color that it needed. Yes, it felt a bit contrived and artificial but there was just enough oats in this to round things out and keep this from feeling contrived.
The hefty amount of booze was also enough to offset the strong citrus presence just enough to make this feel more "believable" as a beer. No, this won't win any awards and you may feel like this needed to be dipped into chocolate but if you're a fan of a sugary beer with fruit bursting out of it from the get-go, you've found your match here. Canned on 5/31/19 with "TRES GOLPES" written beneath that, this was a fun diversion that reminded me of what an American IPA is capable of being!

Beer was okay - nothing particularly special compared to some of the other Other Half stouts. Has oats, lactose, hops, with tastes of oranges. Drinkable, but not amazing.
