Sure, this had a catchy label and a catchy name based on an 80's Eurythmics song but this beer was so soft and full of wheat that was it more than it's outward appearance indicated. Since I like wheat beers and Hefeweizens, this was right up my alley as it was soft, full, and nicely crafted as everything meshed well together. It didn't even feel like an American Imperial IPA!
Of course, this poured muted, golden, and bright with a lot of consistency to the hue. Enough head topped it off and most the lacing left behind was near the top of my pint glass as it was quite extensive and deep, although there really weren't any rings present. Obviously, there was loads of wheat in the nose along with soft orange and tropical notes with some dank grapefruit and white grape underneath that. The taste was lovely - fruit cocktail, some mild dankness, and a tangerine cream feel underneath everything. Those were cut by the underlying wheat although this never felt too full or heavy. It got more dank and turbid as I worked my way through it but a juicy citrus slickness kept this fun and lively down to the last drop.
Enough booze was in here and yes, I warmed up a bit well before I finished this off although that wasn't a deterrent at all. This was a fun beer that was an IPA at heart but also didn't really qualify as one as it seemed to be in a category by itself as I never had anything quite like it before. Canned on 7/1/19 with "CRIM WHITE & GD" written underneath it, I had no idea what that was supposed to mean but I saw that the sediment was not present as this left me wanting more. Breweries can't brew enough strong offerings with wheat, in my opinion!

L - 2-finger dense yellowish head atop a cloudy orange body.
S - spice, grapefruit.
T - spicy wheat croutons over a sweet orange and grapefruit salad. Low bitterness. Moderate-low sweetness. Low booziness.
F - medium body and carb.
O - no mistaking the high wheat content in this beer.
