Collaboration with Humble Sea Brewing Company
Imperial IPA with Humble Sea Brewing from Santa Cruz. We used a simple grain bill of pilsner malt with malted and flaked oats and then crushed it with a beautiful combination of Citra, Galaxy, and a little Sabro. If only your dryer sheets smelled this good.

16oz can. Pours a turbid milky yellow color with an inch of head. Lots of lacing. Sweet aroma of fruity candy, lemon, lime, grapefruit, tangerine, cherry and passion fruit. The taste has a bit of the Pilsner malt at first followed up by the fruits. Soft oat and vanilla notes with candy and fruits towards the end. A bit of a lemon and lime zest finish. Not overly sweet. Creamy with a dry mouthfeel and lots of carbonation. Moderate alcohol heat.

L - pours a pale hazy yellow. Thick, yeasty murk with a white, fuzzy-looking head. Big bubbles that taper down to small teeny tiny beads of microlacing.
S - grape must and onion. Whiffs of gasoline. Lime, rind, and doughy bread.
T - honey and herbal pithiness. Feels like it could be Simcoe, but that might be the Sabro. Playful coconut and zesty, acidic hop resin. Pilsner malts give it a darker, spicier base. More of that grape must; heavy and saturated with that kind of "flat" flavor. Not as dry as expected, leaves more of a mealy feel behind.
F - thick and creamy, thank you oats. It's got a bit of a chalkiness to it.
O - rather unique flavor and feel. Harnesses those gritty, mealy grape vibes in an unexpected way. Dry without being dry and the pilsner malts blend beautifully.
