We add tons of peach and raspberry puree along with cinnamon, honey, vanilla, and milk sugar. Hopped it with Citra, Kohatu and Cashmere.

When is an American IPA not quite like an American IPA? When it's a beer like this - or such as this. From the look, smell, taste, and feel, this was a Sour Ale or a Fruit beer at heart as it wasn't anything like the lighter-hued, hoppier, and heavier beers that one would associate with an IPA. As much as it was an anomaly, I enjoyed this although it took a bit of getting used to, as I had to let it fully warm up first.
This had the look of strawberry puree from the get-go as it poured a dank, muted beet hue with plenty of cloudiness to it. Not a lot of head topped it off and there was even less lacing down the side of it, as there were a few faint signs of thin and wavy rings down the back side of my pint glass. Lots of tart and juicy peach and raspberry in the nose as the taste was a juicy, earthy, turbid raspberry and strawberry patch with a ton of earthy funk to it with lesser notes of cinnamon and deep cream that complemented the fruit quite nicely. Not enough pie crust and fruit jam to make this a true fruit cobbler but this was close as it felt like pie with a ton of fresh-picked fruit and spice to make this feel quite raw and rustic.
There was enough booze to this and with a recessed feel of carbonation, the flavors tended to be heavy and enduring. Canned on 8/22/19 with "JAMS ON JAM" written below it, this almost felt like canned jam minus the heavy presence of sugar and stickiness. While not a bad beer, I never quite figured out what this wanted to be as the soft hops, spice, and sweetness competed for each other without a clear-cut winner. Not among Other Half's better offerings, this was a fun beer that would be great to kick back with and simply enjoy...
