This is more of a smoothie style sour than a Berliner Weisse. Pours very thick with a pinkish orangish almost tan sort of color. Well carbonated, sweet, and tangy. It really brings to life the high notes of peanut butter jelly- tart sweetness from the apparent strawberry, and plentiful peanut butter, but also granola? Apparently there's vanilla, maple. cinnamon. almonds. and toasted coconut in this one (in addition to milk sugar/lactose). Well the peanut butter and jelly part shines the most here, that's for sure, but there is definitely an earthy sweet granola thing going on and adding an extra bit of somewhat decadent complexity. One confusing thing was whether or not the berry in this brew is raspberry or strawberry. The label on my can says it's an "imperial raspberry granola Berliner Weisse" but the art features strawberries and the description says strawberries, so I'll lean strawberries, but there's so many adjuncts in this thing it's actually hard to tell. Either way I really like this one and would definitely enjoy it again. Other Half doesn't focus much on sours compared to IPAs and stouts, but they do them very well.

It's Peanut Butter Jelly time! Well - that's what you'd say if you were a fan of a certain cartoon but alas, I am not. However, I nearly felt that I had to utter those words since this beer encapsulated what's so great about that combination. If you like the other beers from Other Half in this series, you'll want this as it's so much fun and super easy to drink - even for those like me that never had this sandwich when I was growing up...
Interesting pour to this as the beer looked like both of these put together, which resulted in a muted, brownish purple that wasn't bright but still surprised and delighted me as I poured it out of the can. Not a lot of head topped it off but the lacing left behind was quite soapy, webbed, and extensive all the way down. Tons of sticky grape, light tartness, peanut butter, and sweet jam were on the nose as the taste just needed bit more Wonder Bread to top things off! Nicely slick, fairly sticky and oily, and lightly tart, this was so much fun without being overdone or turning into a cliche. The strawberries and toasted coconut gave this a patchy fruitiness and enhanced nut presence that complemented the existing flavors, although I couldn't detect everything else that was listed on the can.
Enough booze was here as I felt some warming and a slight buzz by the time I (rapidly) finished this off. 8/29/19 with "PEANUTS BUTTA JELLY TIME!" written on the bottom of the can, this was one of the most fun beers that I've had in quite some time. Light on carbonation, sufficient in body, and full of flavor, this was possibly the best Berliner Weisse that I've ever had from Other Half!

This beer was incredible - the nose smelled just like a peanut butter and jelly sandwich. The taste followed it and balanced shockingly well with the tartness of the beer. I loved it.
