L - double brunch crunchee peach granola imperial sour india pale ale with peach, coconut, vanilla, maple, cinnamon, almonds, and milk sugar? Jesus Christ. Pours a dark, overripe peach pink that settles into something even darker and more murky. You know what they say about colors... mix enough of them and you eventually get brown. Guess the same holds true for flavors...

S - coconut is the dominant aroma. Granola, almond, and milk sugar second. Nutty with a sweet, syrupy heft. Maybe maple candy on the sugariness that ekes in at the very end.

T - again, coconut up front, but it's wrestling to maintain dominance against tart peach and pointed, zesty lemon-lime sourness. Actually a pretty unique and interesting mashup of flavors. Can't recall the last time I've had a bitter sour coconut beer. There's some sugary sweetness helped along by the lactose. Distinct sharp prickliness of cinnamon smoothed by maple. Cracklin' Oat Bran cereal, complete with milk. Finishes tangy with herbal-feeling (not tasting) lingering tingles and raw peach skin.

F - full and chewy. Creamy but at the same time electricity from the tartness.

O - sweet in all the right places, tart in the others. Restrained balance incorporates just enough sourness to stave off the sugary sweet advance from the maple and cinnamon. Peach was a great fruit choice here to keep things refreshing and full-flavored. Granola came out of nowhere for a surprising win to act as a sturdy backbone. There's a shitton of shit in this and it actually delivers.

Canned 9/11/19
L: Pulpy straw yellow with zero clarity. A standard pour yielded about 2 fingers of an off-white cap that retained nicely. Minimal lacing but overall nice appearance with dull orange yellow color.
S: Peach dominates with cinnamon trailing behind. There is a nice underlying sweetness to the beer as well as a tartness that rounds out the aroma profile. The fact that is smells so peachy has me salivating.
T: Delicious. Just as peachy as the aroma would lend. Peach and cinnamon at the finish reminding me of peach ring candy. The maple adds a nice addition to the finish and carries over to the after taste. The coconut and almond is hard to distinguish, but there is a nutty flavor to the beer that they contribute to. Lactose present at the end elevating the sweetness but it isn't overdone. Sour presence at the finish, reminding me this IS a sour ipa.
F: Soft, full bodied and medium weight. Lower end of moderate for carbonation which I think works perfectly. Zero booze presence.
O: I gotta say, it is something unique and that I am very much enjoying. The flavor profile meshes things that I would have never thought possible in a sour ipa, yet OH/HV pulled it off. It's very balanced and overall a joy to try. If you are looking for a true beer, this is not for you (not that the ingredient list wouldn't give that away). It's a novelty beer at its finest, and I am liking it. I am very glad to try and I would drink again. Cheers!
