Collaboration with Mortalis Brewing Company

Imperial Pastry Sour with Concord Grape Pies, Cinnamon, Vanilla and Milk Sugar. Brewed with our 5 & 20 homies at Mortalis Brewing. We stuffed this sour with concord grape and concord grape pies from Monica's in Naples.

Blind beer review courtesy of @Jimmy_Kneecaps .

Pours a murky pink/red/orange. Short lasting head. A few streams of tiny bubbles.

Soft and doughy, strawberry cake, candy chew.

Taste is an initial hit of orange, lime followed by a cotton candy, strawberry maybe, vanilla and creamy lactose taste. Tiny hint of tartness. This one is a weirdo and I’m not sure of the style. Lactose fruited sour? Is that a thing?

Creamy mouthfeel, slick. No hint of the alcohol until all of those tiny sips to figure out what this could be caught up. Feeing it a little LOL!

This one pours a hazy and murky light purple color, with a small head, and not much lacing.

This smells like cinnamon baking spice, grape jam, graham cracker, vanilla, and cream.

This is a really great approximation of the excellent grape pies at Monica's. It's super jammy and sweet, with very little sourness, with a nice bready and slightly spicy finish. It is certainly over the top, but that is basically par for the course for both of these breweries.

This is creamy and slightly syrupy, with a prety low amount of carbonation. It's very drinkable despite that.

It's really awesome to see two powerhouse local breweries come together and make such a unique beer.
