Ran into the city a few weeks ago to pick this up, as I was lucky that a second go-around of this was offered after it's first run sold out. Love both of these breweries as this contained both of their hallmark characteristics. While not as good as the Other Half collaborations with Monkish, this was a solid brew that was pleasing and effortlessly easy to enjoy!
This had a muddled, golden hue to it that was hazy, uniform in color, and devoid of any sediment. A nice head topped this off as it slowly settled, with the bubbles as fine as any beer that I've had from either of these guys. Plenty of varied lacing lingered with a thin ring immediately sticking around near the top of my pint glass Varied layers could be found below that with soapy splotches filling in the middle as they extended nearly all the way down to the bottom. Lots of exotic tropical fruit, peach, apricot, and candied sweetness in the nose as the taste was just as dank, juicy, and inviting as the aroma led me to believe. Some tangy lime, dank forest, and sticky hops came through on the palate as the Citra, Mosaic, and Simcoe blended nicely with the Amarillo giving this beer an earthiness and heaviness that kept it from feeling too light and fleeting. Basic bread in the malt could be detected as the aftertaste had a fair amount of chewiness and spiciness that complemented the hops quite easily.
Enough booze was in here and the carbonation was light enough that both were present throughout but never strong enough to detract from everything else that was going on from start to finish. Canned on 7/28 with "FAVORITE COLOR: CAMO" written underneath it, this was a smooth beer that finished like fruit cocktail while being just as complex at the same time. Not groundbreaking but worth the effort to obtain, especially if you love what either of the parties involved are known for!

Golden, murky shade of orange, with a big head that feels more Trillium than Other Half. It clears away cleanly, leaving no sticky lacing. Smells of fruity yet bitter. It's like frozen fruit, if that makes sense. It's there, but it's blunt, and doesn't linger in your nose. Flavor is similarly abrupt, leaning more towards bitter, but still rather refreshing and drinkable for the ABV. Feels solid and thick, but has a clean finish. Interesting, very decent beer.

I was looking forward to this collaboration between Other Half and Trullium in Canton, MA because I think they're two of the best micro breweries around today particularly for the hazy New England IPA. It's not the most appealing to look at; wispy thin head, no lacing and the appearance of a glass of white grapefruit juice. Dare I say there is just TOO MUCH going on in this brew? The nose is just a confusing blast of the numerous dry hops plus all the cryo hopping. There's a bit of tropical fruit on both the nose and into the palate and the palate loops around the hops to offer a candied sweetness to the mix - not unpleasant. The aftertaste is fine and considering the ABV, it's actually good.
